Okay, I'll get straight to the crux of the matter then.If you want, you can get the la
All of this, I disagree with. These people are extreme hypocrites. They have no shortage of cognitive dissonance and double standards. If the Handmaid's Tale, or something near and dear to the gay community, were censored, you'd see an outpouring of objection from typically anti-fiction and fence-sitting "progressives". I'll repeat this again, because it's essential to the problem and went unreplied to: Woke people do not give a fuck about normal, heterosexual men. They're either indifferent to, or happy to see something straight guys enjoy taken away from them. This applies to the "creators" among them too, like the author of I am not Starfire (I prefer to call them propagandists). If attacked directly as Anti-Fiction, they can't be willfully ignorant. They will have to be explicit about their awful use of Anti-Fiction beliefs to scapegoat and censor fiction, and thus they will never be able to blend in with creators and people who respect fiction... I personally feel anyone involved in the creation, distribution, and celebration of fiction is capable of becoming a FictionAlly/Pro-Ship.
However, I will not concede that left-wing social ideas are inseparable from what I call Anti-Fiction... by explaining that the issue with wokeness is its Anti-Fiction scapegoating and its censoring of fiction, the ideas of fiction uncensorship would spread.
As for leftism not being inseparable from anti-fiction, it's more conducive to being anti-fiction than other ideologies, such as libertarianism. Marx never said anything about freedom of expression being intrinsically valuable. Marxism does not have the concept of unalienable rights. Instead, it makes everything about present circumstances, "material conditions". Your freedoms are entirely dependent on circumstance. Marxists raised with enlightenment values, will take certain freedoms for granted, failing to recognize that if society wholly adopted their new ideology, all of those freedoms would be put on trial.
Within even the current generation of leftists, there are many who wish to proactively remove freedoms on grounds that intentionally muddle morality with practicality, like Big Joel. In a video of his defending Anita, he concocted a hypothetical piece of nazi propaganda so ridiculous that it could not actually influence anybody. However, because the ideas within this propaganda are obviously "harmful", the propaganda can be considered harmful. When laid out like this, it seems absurd, but an entire debate isn't necessary to influence people. If something is called harmful enough times, that will worm its way into people's subconscious, and they will feel compelled to prevent it from being produced and disseminated.
Bayonetta was awful, until they decided she's a lesbian in their headcanon, and then she was awful again when PlatinumGames revealed she's not. By and large, woke people despise conventional, male sexuality. That is a core part of their ideology. Being anti-fiction might not be, but being pro-fiction isn't either, and they believe applying different standards in different circumstances is the right thing to do.
