So recently palworld just came out and its already took the gacha scene by storm and while i personally don't give any shit at all about playing the game personally or kind of gacha faggotry at all whatsoever either, today i just wanna cover how funny it is seeing gachatards and pokemontards and also western gaijn developers tear each other apart over one game simply existing lmao.

OFC peta is going to be mad too even tho ironically they kill more animals than a fucking meat farm honestly.

Lot of the accusations comes from either pokemon copying or its made from ai even tho neither was the case. There's also a string of sad death threats from pokemon fans too and even pokemon company considering legal action and for once in nintendos life its most likely not going to work either lol.

So what do you think about this shit? let me know down in the comments.

My opinion is that,
plagiarism influences not only legally, breaking copyright laws, but the art and gameplay of the game.
Turning it into something repetitive. And even in the experience because you just think you're playing a copy of the original thing.

That said, I think Palworld does deserve to be treated as a bad game. Because there are already enough bad things in the current gaming industry. And normalizing plagiarism will make it even worse.

Furthermore, there is the issue of “Body Type A and B”. That people use as a source, a message on discord that this is a "joke about Americans". Which really isn't the case, and just another case of the company wanting ESG money.
Even more so since the CEO of this Dev said that he makes games with the aim of selling a lot. And that all of their games are "heavily inspired" by other famous games (Zelda BotW, Hollow Knight, Ark).
They are after money, and ESG money is included. There is no difference between them and GF.

Overall, this whole situation is bad. I hope this game is a commercial failure, just as I hope GF files for bankruptcy.

1)Cowboy Bebop was inspired by lot of shit that i can't even count on one fucking hand. So its prolly a huge walking lawsuit even by nintendo of all things just cause it was sorta referenced in brain scratch lol. And i've literally stopped playing lot of games cause of how much it felt like i was playing monster hunter because it just copied too much from it.

2)Yep, gacha games all should be treated like that at this point and genshit, especially too should be treated at the lowest of the totem pole.

3)You can tell easily, when things solely inspired by the pursuit of money it pretty becomes pretty much well dogshit products after a while, lot of the stuff that i rate are mid to below mid usually are stuff that happens to be made for the sake of being a cashcow.

4)Girl same.

Palworld isn't a gacha game. If it is, where's the gacha system? As far as I can tell they couldn't make it into a gacha game since you can play it locally. The whole "Type A/Type B" thing is still there, so still cringe.

It's just a copy of Ark.
Both in mechanics and even menus.
I really don't understand where people got the comparison with pokemon in terms of gameplay, since Palworld is a plagiarism of Ark in terms of gameplay.

Maybe it's because The Pokemon Company is very litigious, so it's a big deal when something is even remotely similar and manages not to get sued into oblivion. The Pokemon Company and Nintendo are known for suing anything that remotely touches their precious IPs.

Meanwhile, nobody cares if Ark is copied because there isn't a constant stream of news of lawsuits from that company.

Tbh the majority of comments about Palworld from the obsessive Pokemon fans always seemed weird. This is the same community that didn't like how stagnant and unpolished the later releases were, hell most of them were upset with Scarlet and Violet due to the performance issues due to poor optimization. These same people were pushing TemTem and Cassette Beasts as the next Pokemon killer since they wanted something that catered to how they like Pokemon or just wanted something that wasn't Pokemon now. Now that they have that and it's selling gangbusters, they're saying this is a bad game and trying to protect Pokemon at all costs? Honestly it's confusing. Personally I like the game, it's a lot more fun than I expected and I honestly didn't expect to be attached to some Pals like Daedream, Dazzi and Flopie. It kind of feels like a Pokemon game I'd like tbh. I do hope they keep polishing this game up as time goes on tho, it's honestly fun!

Nintendo fuckers in general have always been pretty schizo and all of the fans in Nintendo these days are a bunch of people that need to be pput in the schizo bin.

Yea, I think fans who are internet addicts are generally like that so I shouldn't be so surprised, but it still kind of throws me off how bipolar they can be. In the end though it doesn't really matter what they say since as of now it's sold around 20 million copies. I think that alone shows how bad people want something new from Pokemon in some way. :konata_stare:

Only on a Mario subreddit will you see someone go crazy over trump being president lmao.

Seriously, fuck reddit, twitter, tubmlr and resetera they bring the worst out of humanity if you ask me.

In the end, Nintendo fans have themselves to blame for the shit that they help enable nintendo to do for years now.

Can agree. Pokémon fans have been upset about how there is no competition and how things have been getting worse generation by generation due to being the only game in town Sw/Sh had better female character designs which is what has kept Pokémon from being stale and in Violet and Scarlett there is only one or two where Gamefreak does not care anymore and has mentioned due to the record sales they are satisfied where it's at now. The 3D for the mons has been low effort compared to people that look at SMT, Digimon which again is funny considering that Gamefreak is a big corporation compared to the rest.

AIso I played Arceus and I really liked the game best Pokémon in the last 15 to 20 years unless you count Dungeon Explorers. But it felt like it should have been more than just capturing Pokémon in real time and a budget base building town thing in between, it should have had them work for you and base build for the town that is slowly growing and real time combat. Palworld made by Japanese devs feels like what Arceus should have been and brings the competition to the doorstep of Gamefreak. Arceus could have become another side series that gamefreak could have used when mainline Pokemon needs a break.

Palworld has sold 19 million despite being early access and made by 40 devs on a small team. It has better "pokemon" models, the fanservice with Lily is great, it runs on everything really well, it feels mostly complete. The only issues is the ore in the mid to late game having too much requirements and feels like a grind, bosses can be spongy and powerful. But it will easily be fixed later in the year and add so many features because of how well this is selling. It's really underrated and people should give it a try for a few hours at least.

EDIT: Here is the Lily Intro. She is definitely some high end trainer material.

What i see is that the opinions of online fans and IRL fans are usually the reverse. For example, I don't play the more recent Pokemon games (except for Arceus) so my opinions about Scarlet/Violet is only what've seen online. Then when i talked with actual people who are playing and brought up things i read online (bugs, ugly design, etc...), they don't think about it that negatively at all. I imagine most of the 20 something millions sales are like that. Online communities seems to hyper focused on issues which may only be important to a minority. Play any game with an online community and you'll see people championing causes that you know is retarded. To outsiders they can seems important because they don't know the game.

What i don't like about Palworld is that it feels designed to just waste time. There's no story, you're just dropped in a place with no explanation. I'm also not into crafting games so everything feels like a chore. Pals also looks like cheap (?) Pokemons. Like some guy got told to design them based on pokemons but don't make it look too obvious. He delivered but a lot of details are lacking.

I can see why people like it but i can't get over how "Beta" everything feels. I got to about lvl 30 before quitting. If it wasn't on gamepass i wouldn't be dropping money on what's basically a beta test.

The game is in early access currently. meaning it is in beta/alpha stages, they will be adding more to the game as it goes on with updates for storylines, more pals, lessening the grind, etc. They said it even in the roadmap.

I know. And i usually don't touch this stuff for that reason. This is where i think people should have "standard" but apparently if you're starving then people will eat up anything, looking at those numbers. Funny how that works huh.
