Many of you have probably seen at this point pixiv's statement on their commitment to diversity and inclusion
We know from previous examples that this is where the rot starts to set in marking the beginning of the end

I think it is worth exploring the reason behind this action

Apparently pixiv got involved in a harassment lawsuit regarding transexual employees
While troons are a HR timebomb i dont necessarily think it is their doing ...this time
The article claims that a manager did some unsavory things and while one would suspect it is the troons we have seen this in the past with weinstein/blizzard/nintendo

Honestly I think this situation needs some more development before anything can be concluded. But I think the second this develops further than now it will be time to take a step where it hurts. E.g. Fanbox. Or straight up make a replacement.
I don't think it's hard to replace in comparison to something like say Youtube. Hell I could probably make a site like that (I would only need to look a bit stronger into the whole hosting & CDN situation to handle thousands of requests).

The second people hired for diversity instead of skill they messed up. I mean look at all of these adult daycare centers... I mean silicon valley startups. No wonder all of these services go to shit.
If a company can deny applicants for stuff like tattoos or involvement with certain groups, then they should also be allowed to deny troons.

my take on this right now is that as long as this doesn't end up leaking into their content moderation I'm not going to panic, we are prob not going to see the actual effects for some time so its a wait and see

in saying that people should ALLWAYS be looking for alternatives

so be sure to give https://nijie.info a look to see if your fave cunny artist or other lewd ero artist is on nijie as well and follow them there

sure the UI is not as clean and it's all in jap but think of it as Japanese learning immersion, and the site is made just for ero and R18 works. so its prob worth setting up and having it around as a backup if you are an R18 artist and are worried about pixiv jumping off the cliff

Yeah just recently found out that Odysee allows uploads of Images and Livestreams. But even if it's not good for artists that have a lot of backcatalog, because of the whole staking system it has.

that, as of late pixiv has been having issues with content moderation.

That is it seems non existant. As multiple people have said that nonces (and possibly feds) have been posting csem on the site along with suspicious links.

I still think the statement is a reaction to the harrassment stuff but it seems rather strange that this two things seem to be happening around the same time

The first thing is the only thing that makes sense regarding the harassment thing, the second thing is literally why we have the plague that is localizers.

Diversity hires, hires based of sexuality and gender, their qualifications won't matter, they'll have a position in the company that's higher than it should be, they'll be able to change things and eventually pixiv becomes funimation for art.

There are three things I have personally seen:
1. Actual cp pics with one of these cartoon / drawn filter on top
2. People spamming links to some invite site (looks like its one of those "invite 5 people to veg the good stuff" type of deals). The comments are flooded with those
3. Posts advertising their Session / Wickr for trade or just getting some.

This has been going on for a while though. I first stumbled across this sometime last year.

1 would need human verification. 2 and 3 however could be strongly mitigated with a few filters.

I mean given how large the site is, I assumed some stuff would slip through the cracks But I didnt know it was that pervasive.

I mean in the grand scheme of things it's only a small amount of posts, but there certainly is quite a pedo community that is very active on pixiv. Hell their most use tag literally is #pedo!
But yeah, it's not a recent thing. The links are new, but the other stuff has been popping up here and there for a while and reporting it hasn't bad any results.
