"What opinion on whatever has you like this" posts keep getting made probably so that it's easy for botters to find "ally" posts

my hypothesis is that it is an AI neural network that sends bot accounts to like and reply to tweets with specific phrases
The question then arises who constructed it
unfortunately there are no leads on that whatsoever
this doesnt have to be a giant entity though as with the proliferation of openai anyone with decent computer knowledge can scramble together a simple working ai

I cant go into specifics since that would require explaining how machine learning works but all try my best to explain how i think it works

say the AI stumbles upon a tweet talking about bridget
the AI will then parse the tweet and look for various words or phrases
it will assign a score based on the sentiment
saying something like "bridget is cute" would probably get 0 points, saying something like "bridget is a cute boy" will probably get a negative score and "bridget is a cute girl" would get a positive one
if it breaks a set threshold on positive sentiment it will send bots to like it
if it breaks the negative threshold sentiment it will send reply bots and seek out the reply with the most engagement and high positive sentimental score and boost that one

here is the fun part:
some of you might remember DAN (do anything now) for chat gpt where users managed to bypass its filter by overloading the prompt
you could probably do something similar
if you were to compose a tweet filled with conflicting and confusing language that hampers the ai's ability to properly gauge the sentiment of a tweet you could get it to possibly boost a tweet that it wouldnt want to
for example:
"bridget is isnt not a boy"
the ai would see boy and not and isnt and give positive sentimentally because you are using negatives with a negative keyword
Also i think that the bots only work with english posts as the japanese ones never have this unusual amount of engagement
it would require a lot trial and error to find out what the machine looks for and how it scores words

It feels weird to be on Twitter sometimes. It's simultaneously a fake place but also a great place for marketing purposes.

That being said, none of my professional and personal relationships are carried out on there.

Wasn't it found that 80% of all posts are made by 20% of the user base? Then there's all the stuff that was being found when Elon was in the process of purchasing the company. Everything from an alarming amount of fake accounts to automated blacklisting of "icky" subjects.

I apologize in advance for the sheer autism I'm posting here, but I find the subject kinda fascinating. We've had a year of promises that the bot networks were gonna go away, but we're still seeing botting that's quite blatant to a human observer. So I guess I'll post my own observations here.
I started looking at a tweet Ene had pointed out that had 100k likes out of nowhere, it hasn't moved much at all in the hours that ene has posted it. I looked at the likes list on twitter and yep.. Obvious bots all over the place. Some of the crappy old kind that just have a name + some numbers for their usernames, 3 tweets, and 30k likes, some more that tried to blend in by snatching up random profile pics and bios. I'm sure GPT4 is working overtime to mint fresh new bios, but some of these accounts are years old and haven't been caught.
Here's an example that made me realize what was happening.

This one only has 1 like, but it seems like it's being used to follow numerous other bot accounts maybe to make them look more legitimate. The avatar and banner are stolen (maybe someone who doesn't know ID vtubers well wouldn't notice, but google lens solves that in one second), none of the tweets really see anything, and for a supposed artist and vtuber there's absolutely no evidence of their work, nor a youtube/twitch account, any art sharing accounts, or anything. Many of the accounts I saw it follow were more obvious bots, usually with similar details but basically no actual tweets, huge amounts of likes, bios that are formatted weird, and imagery that's sourced from the internet.
I've never been really convinced about the dead internet theory in the past, honestly I'm quite willing to believe that 100k retarded apes on social media hammered the like button because a thought leader told them to, but now that I'm sitting down and observing things, maybe there's more truth for it. Musk speaks of immense reach, but I so rarely see any actual evidence of that reach.

(also what the fuck is up with those bridget trans bots that seem to insert more commas rather than actual words are the bot net operators trying to train their own language model?)

Open up a tab and always constant news about evil Trump and evil russians as if I am already tired every week seeing that and no new news around the world. Is twitter pulling the same shit on these 2 topics or just botting on trans shit?
