I'm unsure if you know it but Nexus, Gamebanana and Loverslab banned Fire Emblem Engage's re-translation mod earlier, forcing the modder to join and post it here

With the mod seemingly done, I want to thank all who worked hard to give us this patch. It's a shame the localization team couldn't simply give us a direct translation with minimal to no hard changes, but it's good to know this patch exists to give us that experience.

You'll find that just like your mod, it's harmless. It's not obscene. It's not grotesque. It's a faithful translation from Japanese edition that unfucks Treehouse's puritanical "LoCalizAtioN". That's what got them all pissy and banned it.

The point is, going forward I think everyone (here and everywhere else) should be informed about what those sites have done, and the malicious actors on management with obvious agenda and some nepotism shouldn't be given free pass like they're innocent anymore. It's high time to tear down their mask of decency and reveal the ugly fascistic puritans behind them.

What happened to OP is definitely an injustice, guilt by association is a shitty reason to justify banning works of author who didn't even toe the line.

but doesnt yknow....mistranslating the original meaning of another language ON PURPOSE feel a bit...xenophobic in a way? like, its disrespectful to the original work, the culture it came from, and its more or less, a spit in the face. as if our language is somehow superior to theres or something.

If your mod is also getting banned on Loverslab too then this kinda proves the connection between all those modding sites (Nexus, Gamebanana, Loverslab and who knows what else). Both you and FE:E modder got on shitlist of one single site then suddenly their friends all have their crosshairs on you. It's too much of a coincidence that your case and FE:E case would follow this much of a similar pattern.

At least this means the nepotism accusation isn't just a conspiracy theory anymore, it's a fact. I wouldn't be surprised if they're reading this thread right now laughing their asses off with their hypocritical friends in their little close space on private discord.

We only uploaded the FE:E patch to LL (pre 1.0 versions were posted there without any issues) and to GB (funnily enough, the patch was removed from LL and GB at the same time) and was NEVER uploaded to Nexus, only 1 person said that and it was a fuck up by the GB admin who indirectly confirmed that they are in comms. Nexus, GB, LL and ModDB are all on this.

Btw the admin edited the comment about like 4 times, completely changing the reason, and then finally gave up after calling him out and locking the comment section at the time.

i mean, curseforge and moddb dont seem to wanna ban the mods, and TO BE FAIR i explicitly stated the version on loverslab was 13 so, that was kinda on me.
