Spike Chunsoft, Inc. today is pleased to announce the previously cancelled Steam release of CHAOS;HEAD NOAH will launch on Steam on October 7, 2022, PDT as originally planned.

The company received the following statement from Valve, the operator of Steam:
"Valve's content review team, the group that made the original decision, has re-examined CHAOS;HEAD NOAH and decided to reverse course and allow the game to ship on Steam, as is. We've also examined the process that led to the previous decision about CHAOS;HEAD NOAH, and made some changes to avoid situations like this in the future."
I am curious what their "changes to the review process" entail. Hopefully something leading to less censorship on Steam rather than more.

well have to see. could be they are just saying that for the PR. end of the day wins a win. but its even more reason people need to speak out on these issues so companies can see we are in fact here and have market power

as said in their statement it prob would not have been reversed if there was no backlash to it. sadly a lot of smaller titles that get the slap dont have the luxury of name recognition. steam has been getting away with this bullshit for some time. in talking with a few H-game devs and publishers some times it can all depend on what dude you get that reviews it. if they have a hate boner for anime you might just be shit out of luck. shit i recall one tweet going around where a dev was saying they got rejected cuz the reviewer did not understand how multi-choice roots in a VN work.

so yea would not hold my breath out for stream to change their tune overnight.

My guess is they'll only afford that privilege to the bigger Japanese companies, not the smaller indie devs.

Well Alice Soft is pretty big, EVENICLE 2 is still nowhere to be seen on Steam.

Nothing, just PR to stop the complaints.
The faggots at Valve that hates Japanese culture won't be punished or fired, maybe shuffled around but will be back to ban more Japanese games.
Just plain old xenophobia and cultural imperialism from cunts who think they know better.

The first game was pretty extreme with stuff like a loli eating her dad alive while fucking him. If they have that game they should allow any game.

And there's still no words from Aquaplus and shiruvane or whoever the Dungeon Travelers 2 publisher on steam was, the cowards.

Out of all vita games I really want to play DT2/2-2 and Ar nosurge/Ciel nosurge but steam prudes had to ruin it all.
