1- "Select your Type"protagonist, or worse "Select your pronouns" genderless protagonist
1.2- The same neutral script for both male and female protagonists (the game's script does not acknowledge your sex beyond pronouns)
1.3- Non-gender locked character customization options. Unisex clothes (no girl clothes)
2- Gender blind romance: Every character is made bisexual with neutral/genderless writing (Globohomo)
(Making most/every characters normal, or having some Yuri/Yaoi (forbidden love) options are not politically correct)
2.2- Men with no preferences in women. Women who aren't conscious of men.
2.3- No dialogue that casually insinuates that being straight is normal, or that being gay is abnormal (homosexuality is just sexuality-2)
3- A party of males and females without normal gender dynamics or lewd jokes/tropes/characters
3.2- No dialogue that casually acknowledges that men and women are different.
3.3- No concepts like "a real man" or "a proper lady" (Gender "equality" writing)
4- Diversity ratio everywhere (%50 Black, %50 Female, mixed-race/gay couples/people) without anyone acknowledging it
4.2- Out of place looking "black coded" hair and facial features. Troon looking characters
5- Otokonoko to Non-Binary/Trans: Characters unnaturally not questioning or misgendering a Trap (No "Daga Otoko Da!")
5.2- Every character recognizing/accepting someone's self-identity by default
5.3- Avoiding gendered language to an unnatural degree in the writing to pander to the LGBT without annoying normal people by making it obvious
6- Bad or abnormal things not being treated/viewed as bad or abnormal
6.2- Okama/Onee characters without gay jokes
6.3- Fat characters without any fat-shaming
6.4- Masculine women without misgendering or any form of disrespect
7- Desexualized designs/outfits (hiding the bodyline with less model detail, unisex (male) outfits on young females...etc)
7.2- Black spats below skirts (No panchira), Extra black shirt beneath clothes (No side boob), Double Swimsuit, Long skirts.
8- Every main character is 18+ (Safe Horny) (Global Standards) (Western platform rules on sexual content) (Twitter botted complaining)
9- Over-stylized, fanart unfriendly character designs (Anti-lewd art character designs)
9.2- Suspiciously awful LGBT flag like color arrangement in designs (+Botted internet LGBT discourse about them right after release)

Freedom Of Expression Content: When game content was competitive and devs would play around the line

ACNH: Most neutered boring villager dialogue - Ugly diversity hair - Gender means nothing and can be changed at any time, male/female faces and hair are identical (unlike previous games), villagers don't comment when you crossdress like the previous game

(because gender norms are taboo for children games now)

Woke Pandering: Crippled content and writing to pander to pronouns in bios

FEE: "Select your appearance" - Very boring writing/content despite being a fanservice anniversary game - Everyone is Bi and have neutral dialogue with the MCs (Unlike previous games where they specifically had Yuri/Yaoi characters

Nanjamo (Iono): Did the NOA tell the devs to cover her with that tent

to "safely" put the idea in the public conscious? Did they give the most appealing design "the colors" on purpose?

Meloco (Mela): Anti-fanart stupid and busy looking design

Grusha: Female character that got turned into a male (Probably by the western branch) to push some gender spectrum bullshit

Lip (Tulip): Most feminine outfit, but on a weird looking hag

Chili (Rika): Biseinen that got turned into a woman (probably by the western branch) for gender spectrum bullshit, or to avoid artist shipping him with the toddler

Omodaka (Geeta): Cockroach looking indian woman, ugliest champion yet

Final Comment

Censorship&Wokeness
New Japanese games being heavily toned down and having more "socially responsible" content/writing is a fact. however, I can only speculate about how much of it is due to pressure from western branch localizers

/non-stop twitter complaining

and pro-censorship&woke opinion botting/western platforms/Japanese feminists/Japanese communist party

/global standards

/Ethics departments

/Cultural Sensitivity consultation firms/UN

/WEF

/Credit card companies

/ESG, and how much is just playing it safe for mass appeal

Some woke content is blatant, others are more subtle, some of it is ESG related, others could just be the developers being tricked into pandering to the woke by their western branches.

It's possible that I'm reading too much into some things, but I'll just trust my intuition for now.

I dunno man. You can't deny localizers or US based branch offices getting more influence on the Japanese side of things during development. I'd wager the strangled sequels you listed are strangled due to Western branch office influence (NoA) and not only ESG.

I don't disagree. Western branches (Localizers), botted twitter complaining, game journalists and the ESG are all strangling JP content at the source.
What I meant by "localization does not count" is that the "extra strangled" english release does not count

I think he specifically meant that censorship/woke shit only present in the localization was not taken into account because it can be avoided and isn't actually supposed to be there

It's bad back in the old days you just had to worry about the english localization but nowadays we gotta worry about everything.and about censorship at the dev level which wasn't always a concern.

Yeah it sucks that we have to wonder if something is being fucked with all of the time now, but some people are treating the absence of something as a definite sign of censorship and imo that is stupid. I mean look at some of the examples for Xenoblade 3 that were posted here.

The tame character designs could very well be censorship but we dont even know if that is the case for sure but the age one? So can a Japanese game not have an adult main cast without being seen as a censored game now? Shit like that seems pretty damn crazy to me. And as for the designs are tame designs completely out of the question now? I was thinking about doing another playthrough of FF Tactics soon and I started to think that if that game came out for the first time today you would see people saying that the characters designs were toned down for global standards. Idk I just want creators to make what they want to make and I am starting to see things that are making me concerned on top of the things I am already really damn concerned about.

Don't let any of them try to gaslight you into thinking this is unreasonable "craaaaaazy conspiracy theory" thinking. The enemy is subversive and disingenuous. If I see what you described, I would say yes, I do think the game was "tampered" with during development to ensure nothing would NEED to be censored.

Nearly every good game should have lolis in it anyway. No bangable character = no buy. I skipped Tales of Arise because the designs were ass. I also skipped Pokemon Scarlet and Violet because the human designs were disgusting commie garbage.

Ok I have some questions, and if you dont mind, some small criticism of this chart.

First, is the reason sf 6 is at the far end of the chart just because of capcom reputiation as having zero integrity and its public acknowledgment of the esg?. If so then fine but you should make that clearer. Because content wise sf6 is not that bad compared to other stuff from that chart. Yeah the gender thing is annoying, but is far from the worst offender and the new designs arent that bad imo. Sure they are worse than 5(though imo 4 and super had the best designs) but I feel thats a little too subjective a thing to put it at the far end.

Second. Are the games in this chart referring only to the localized versions of the game or all of them. If so I gonna have to disagree with a few of them for example the jp version of fe engage is pretty serviceable afaik. Granted it does feel a little more samey and sanitized in some parts but I feel thats more due to the fact that they decided to have interactions for an ungodly amount of characters.

third and this one only concerns xb3 and tales of arise. Do we have any actual evidence that they were censored or that they include woke nonsense. For xb3 Ive heard both that is fine while others say its ruined.
Do we have any dev interviews that can shed some light on the issue?
As for tales you showed the tweet that said they changed it but you dont really go into much detail about it.

Now for some criticisms

First it would porbably be a good idea if you were to briefly explain what esg is or at least link to another thread or video that talks about it. Now I know most of us here know what it is but it is never a bad idea to have in case someone new comes and does not know about it.

Second. I feel that some of your judgements are little too exagerated and make some assumptions based on insuficient evidence.

For example animal crossing, remember that its main demographic is kids as such it makes sense thst the context be as sanitized as possible and to be fair even within the fandom thry complain about it. That said I really dont think is on par with the other games in that section particularly pokemon which has obvious signs of wanting to pander to the "wider audince".

Other games I have some issues are xb 3 as I sais before we dont know how much was an attempt to neuter itself for "modern appeal" and how much it was just a narrative decision from the devs.

Also Zelda I really dont think is bad I mean even people from this forum have commented that is a good game, Honestly the worst Ive seen from the games is from idiot fans on twitter going about their usual nonsense about characters being trans or gay or whatever, and reeing whenver doesnt agree with their stupidity.

I do think the designs being the way they are in xb3 could be censorship, but the fact that one of the people that worked on the game said it was done to fit the tone makes me think that it was just a design choice. Of course when I bring that up people just say that the devs are bullshitting and telling lies. That is the exact thing I am starting to become concerned about some people literally wont accept a non raunchy design at this point even if it might be what the devs wanted from the start.
