I rarely buy new games, and even with games I look forward to I wait till I actually want to play it (it's also cheaper this way).
The game I'm looking forward to the most is STALKER 2, but I'll probably buy way more games until that comes out.

Persona 1 on the psp and ps1 is pretty cheap too and the only way to get it cheap unless you happen some random pawn shop who doesnt know how much its really worth has it cheap

FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster - Never fully beat the game, but will go through it now with the turbo mode.
Blade Strangers - Mostyl to check out Umihara's route
The Past Within & Underground Blossom - Big fan of the games these guys make (check out Cube Escape and Rusty Lake)
Rusted Moss - Looked good and seems to have a grapple mechanic like Umihara Kawase
The Beginner's Guide - Got recommended to me.
A a few games I bought before:
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (PS2) - Borrowed this as a child from a library and played it. It's really hard and shows it's age. The camera alone was a huge annoyance!
Maximo vs. Army of Zin (PS2) - The sequel to GtG and a much more enjoyable game compared to the first one. Many QoL improvements and a camera that works!
Power Rangers: Ninja Storm (GBA) - Another childhood game. Have only check out the first level, but it's a constant barrage of "Oh I remember this enemy, I remember this level".
Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction (GBA) - And another one from my childhood. Just beat the prequel (The Sacred Cards) and all I remember from this one is how hard this one was at the end. I think neither me or any of my family members ever beat it.

tbh the entire game and its prequel "nyakori's rabbit roll" is just a big wahmen moment for its story
it's a rather interesting story, kinda badly translated (not machine translated, surprisingly enough), so click if you want some abridged spoilers
imagine you're a girl, and you have a cute girl with a stray cat pet you have a crush on
you propose to them in a library, but you're rejected by them
so what do you do?
a) accept and move on
b) rape her
c) kill her
d) kill her stray cat pet, kill her too, use forbidden taboo magic to turn her into a cat girl that eliminates one of the two beings' personalities, that being the cat's master, erase her memories so she thinks you're her sister, live hiding from her rather obsessive REAL sister who's a really powerful magician (and also a bit psycho, maybe more than you in some ways), then when she finds you, lock all three of you in an illusive reality mansion place to try and tell her real sister that her sister is dead and replaced by a cat's personality that looks just like her, but in truth is actually her real sister brainwashed into thinking she was a cat whose master was the girl who in fact is actually her, then because your crush's real sister is very skeptical and a genius, figures out part of the truth, tells your brainwashed catgirl sister wife that she's a replacement for her kind master (who in reality is the kind master), get fucking killed by your crush's sister, and cause your catgirl sister wife to jump off a roof over the despair that she's just a replacement and no one actually loves her, which, also worth noting, your crush is one of three very powerful magicians who fought against the witch of plagues, which then because you wiped her memories of her life before being turned into a catgirl, forgot all her knowledge with magic, leading to the finale where one of the other magicians who was left unscathed from the entire thing didn't recognize her as one of the magicians beyond her potential as a sealing agent for the currently unkillable plague witch who probably could've been killed had your crush been "alive" with the other three before that witch broke her seal, resulting in practically every ending in the game except for one where your crush just gets fucking sealed for eternity and to be killed once the seal fucks up again
e) just fucking spike her drink you fucking retard, why the ungodly fuck would you ever come up with that convoluted plan just to fuck your crush, holy FUCK

also this game is the reason why i figured out while i was at work that the gura incident was run by a soundalike, because i realized that it wasn't absurd for specifically a woman to pretend to be gura, whom she hates, because she sounds like her and suffered because of gura's celebrity status and her soundalikeness causing a bunch of assholes to harass you with job offers within the adult industry and such, and tried to make friends with gura's fans by pretending to be gura (who she hates), catfishing so many fucking people all at once and successfully tricking people into thinking she's real and not an AI voice and whatnot, including acquiring a bootleg gura live2d model and her 3d models just to pretend to be someone you hate to be loved for who you are by being someone you're not and ruining her image
hanlon's razor is kinda useless when most criminals are correlated with retardation of any and all kinds, but holy FUCK i need the philosophical razor that cuts off considering rational motives to solve mysteries when it involves women
