Looking back on a lot of old graphics, I have to wonder.
What do ya'll think was the best graphics for consoles?

Personally, I'm kind of a late PS1, Dreamcast, early PS2 type of guy.

I love Dreamcast. It holds up great, especially when you hook it up to a TV or computer monitor with VGA. The crispness that it brings to the picture can't be beat.

The Dreamcast is to me essentially a beefed up PS1 graphically... And I mean that in the absolute best way possible because I love that. It's such a good looking console.

I like some PS3 games, but it's around the mid-to-late PS3 era where things just started falling off to me. And then the PS4........................ Yeah.

6th gen was the zenith of video-games in everything including graphics, the jump from PS1 to PS2 graphics is something the future generations will never experience.
And then came 7th gen with it's high resolution meme, made games harder to develop, and it all went downhill from there.

Pick the one with PS1 then. Just had to shorten the amount of options.

Graphics are not everything and it's extremely subjective as a whole. The largest leap in graphical fidelity was achieved with PS2 to PS3 due to the fact with PS2 you still had somewhat 3D models and with PS3 you could now do fully 3D models with some texture details and effects. Everything after that point is just diminishing returns, due better textures, more SFX and Particles, polygons to work with and a bit more open worlds. So i would say PS3 is the best and it was peak due to how revolutionary it was from one gen leap to another, much like how it was for SNES to N64 to Gamecube.
