Discussion Which mangaka do like to see do other genres outside of what they normally do?

Here's a random thread that just came up to me, so for my answer i'm going with Ai Yazawa as i liked Kagen No Tsuki, yeah i know a shojo but its not the uwu cutesy shit hell no, that stuff is all fucking up the anime industry and the sanity of humanity everywhere turning them into mentally deranged psychopathic schizo freaks that you have to stay away from.

But lol, mini rant aside i think it would be cool to see if ever Ai yazawa gets off from her hiatus to do more mystery shit.

That being said any of you guys have ideas as well? let me know down in the comments.

Honestly with the fucking depressing state the world is on I think we could all use something lighthearted imo.

As for your question, well for more that we shit on them. I would like to see one of the big shonen mangakas like koyoharu or horikoshi or do something more experimental. Maybe a horror or mystery as you said.

I remember when steven universe was going on its fans made me absolutely hate everything about that show. So I get where you are coming from.

Although nowadays I try to separate the work from the fans. Of course that is not always easy so I understand your reasoning

I already mentioned sending varris screenshots to nis japan about how their localizers they hire are really just cancertards maybe i should email the government of japan to ban all exports of sanrio because of the terroistic behavior the fans are doing lol.

The funniest I could think of would be Asanagi (if you can call him a mangaka), with a wholesom SoL / coming of age story.

Or something else that could be interesting would be an Isekai by Junji Itou

Or you might also know the Ahegao shirt which uses mostly faces from his doujins.

He did. But I bet he could make insane monster designs. I would love to see him draw a simple goblin and characters struggling like in Grimgar.

Oh right well he is pretty good at what he does. I do recall someone actually had posted the numbers of most of the works featured on that shirt lol.

I mean its not unusual for hentai artists to transition, or branch into non lewd stuff. So maybe it could work idk.

And yeah fantasy monsters junji ito style sounds pretty cool
