Background for those who dont know about this game: This one is famous in the now 90% dead ecchige genre because it was under development before sony california laws and released after the laws were implemented. The story goes like this, initially the official site had uncensored screenshots when it was announced but just before release the screenshots were changed with the infamous "sony rays". Example fun fact even psblog had these initial screenshots and then were subsequently changed to the butchered ones.

Fast forward to now 1/18/2024. The game has been released for mobile, steam, ps5 and switch. The official site states that the switch version is slightly different from all other platforms. The result?

The "sony rays" appears to be slightly changed in the switch version? It still looks like the butchered version to me but I could only get one screenshot from jp twitter. I will edit it with a couple more if I find more later. Example

TLDR: Its still censored for all platforms with switch being "a little less" but this "little" is so laughably little that they might as well have kept the butchering or better yet not released it.

My thoughts: As expected of a dead genre (thanks sjw feminist world order) and utterly ball-less castrated piece of shits (whoever on the development side makes these decisions). What is the point of releasing such niche stuff completely butchered to hell and back? Sure there maybe what 10,000 absolute retards who will still pay for this censored trash? Its not some AAA tranny consoomer hype retarded shit that millions will buy. I doubt theres anyone who would buy this "just because it is censored" and even if there are braindeads like that I am sure there will be at least more people who would buy this just because it is uncensored. So what was even the point of this butchering? There is no point. These castrated decision makers make retarded decisions to release it like this is because sjw feminist ideology is the unwritten law and it so conditioned that releasing censored shit is the norm. It is because of these retardation that ecchi games are dead.

I cant speak for steams retarded review laws as they are all over the place and I cant make sense of them but given the recent mugen souls uncensored re-releases on switch, I doubt nintendo would have had any problems with this.

Sometimes I just wish creators would stop self censoring over everything. This would have easily made it to Steam, Switch, GOG they could even make a hentai version and put it on JAST store and make extra money. But because they are desperate for Sony money and think it's still the 00's when Sony was relevant they just follow the censorship from Sony and put that same version on other platforms retroactively killing their chances of getting money. It makes zero sense because there is more marketplaces that would pay for this kind of thing. Just do not put it on Sony, do not censor, double down on fanservice and put it on other platforms that are growing with relevant audiences. It's easy.

The author of the mod is asking for paypal donation from anyone interested in Switch mod of Yuuna so he could buy the Switch version and extract NSP files to mod it, but this won't affect his steam mod update which so far has been constantly updated for free.

Interesting, i am glad the Steam is gone, and there is even an enhanced nude patch available. This will make it easier for those that now wish to get the game to buy it. This gives me hope for more games that have been censored on Steam. I think Mugen Souls is one of them still with no Steam scene.

You can play Mugen Souls uncensored (or at least, uncensored original version from jp) on Switch. Eastasiasoft has re-released the version without western censorship.

I think what I am talking about is off site patches aka mods. For Criminal Girls the community basically modded the game with better Sprites and also undid the purple smoke for the punishment mini-game and brought back the voices. It's similar to how this happened. But I do agree. Eastasiasoft is our Publisher. I did buy Moero Chronicle H, Mugen Souls and Princess H from them.

Criminal Girls mods in the Steam forums. NISA did allow modding to fix it indirectly.

I think it's because they knew it would not sell at all on Steam and this was when Japanese games were starting to kick into high gear for huge amounts of money especially with the VN boom that ended in a bust cycle. NISA knew that the PC audience does not buy anything if it's censored, but they might if there is an easy way to decensor the game back. So they allowed it to happen. I do think they might someday though, due to all the negativity around sexuality. But at least it will be off site. It's kind of why i do hope for more people to make mods that decensor old games down the line or retranslate games because i know it would just be overall helpful and Companies will not go back to their older library as much as their newer stuff.
