It's quite easy to avoid, just go on 8chan.moe, then click on the board you want to go on on the website, you'll see the error if you try to go on boards like /b/ straight from Google.

I only used 8chan (back when it was .net) to look at loli and rule34 (I did not know of other, better sites back then) after the shutdown and the fracturing I found it too big of a hassle to go back there when I I knew of better sites by then

You have to access it via Here or else it 404's since they were kicked off The webring when Mark appeared in the Q documentary with Fredrick Brennan and Ron & Jim Watkins.
