Seems like the localization tried to remove her specifying you're not allowed to search the woman's bath in the event dialogue(1st), but because they couldn't do the same to the regular dialogue when you try to enter, they just changed his apology to a sassy line(2nd).

I didn't screenshot it, but after this line she gives you snacks and then asks if she could maybe have them back in JP, in the localization she talks about trying something scary, whatever that means.

If you play as Fumi/Katie, Keita/Nate, asks you why you are in the boys bathroom after you rescue him, so the localization only removed it from non-protag Katie.

Q: Why is the image quality different? - A: Top image is the Switch remake, bottom is 3DS. Switch remake did not get an english release.

Well Pokemon is just as censored, so that's not the reason for its failure. The main reason for me is a lack of cute girl monsters compared to Pokemon and Digimon.

You're right. I should've clarified that the localization - butchered in the belief it would increase sales - wasn't going to help the game achieve anything close to the success in Japan. It had a bunch of other factors (e.g. the Pokémon community's autism).
