I've reached the branching point but there is no revelations option

I used the batch cia 3ds decryptor which should have added the DLC to the main game file

And the country is set to Japan

The setting I'm talking about is in the "General" tab, and you don't need to use any other program to modify the files, just install them both with the "Install CIA..." option in "File".
And I recommend Lime3DS, it works better in general.

instead of setting the entire emulator to japanese, just set this game to it (right click game, click properties, general tab, region: jpn), though for me region: auto detect worked good enough for most of the game.

also, while trying out the supports that didn't work before:
shinonome vs kinu rank S
U want to be with you, as well!
I want

shinonome vs sophie rank S
You sound like one of those princes
from the fairy tails, you know.
fairy tales

While the uncensored mod for Fire Emblem if is great, you unfortunately won't be able to play it in HD without stuttering problems yet. It's great on native hardware, though.

Asynchronous Shading is the feature that eliminates stuttering in emulators, but it causes major graphical glitches in the 3DS Fire Emblem games.

It's not cris1010's fault. It's a glitch with the emulator, and it applies to the base games, not just the fan translations.

fates is worth getting a 3ds and a ram cart for, you'll appreciate it more on the original hardware. At least I did

You make it sound like the game has horrible stutter problems in emulator :asui-what:, stutters only happen the first time a new shader appears, but that's it.

Yeah, DS/3DS games always feel better on original hardware because of the dual screen.

i have my PC w/ UltraWide Monitor, Steamdeck, and 3DSXL and regular 3DS, just never looked into hd textures for a 3ds, then again do i really need to, screen is so small lol..

The HD textures are only for emulator XD

dunno, i did that once, bought a nds for a game, thinking "there are other games out there i'll probably play", after which the hardware was collecting dust for a decade until i sold it. at this point my eyes are too weak for the tiny screens too, i can barely see what's going on on those, esp. reading text.

if you have two monitors set up and use each monitor for one game screen, with mouse hovering over the touchscreen one, and while using a gamepad, the dual screen set up works fairly good.

After everything Nintendo did in 2024, I predict that the Fire Emblem 4 remake is going to be censored garbage in all regions.

It likely won't even have that 90s anime artstyle that the original games had.

In an ideal Fire Emblem 4 remake, the artstyle would be a tribute to the original 90s art. Kind of like what Langrisser M did.

that sounds nice, but i have a UWQHD Monitor so i can just do that on my one monitor, but i do have a touch tablet that can be used as a monitor that could easily mimic the 3ds touch screen. might have to mess with that... (Getting Emulator to get touching to work is the problem though lol)

Doesn't the emulator forget about the shaders after restarting the game? So if you close and restart the emulator, it's going to forget the shaders it already processed, and you'll have to deal with that stuttering again?

the emulator stores shaders in
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Citra\shaders\
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Lime3DS\shaders\

The Image above is when you right click the game in Citra/Lime3DS, you get options to clear it or go-to location, for sharing with others or backing up.

Is there a place to download shader caches for Lime3DS?

not that i know of, you can load do preload textures, to avoid some stuttering, but this will lock your citra/lime3ds and take 2-5 minutes usually to load depending on how good your pc is, and how big the textures are.
