No i never went to a convention and yes i am writing this to push more of my anti social viewpoints onto the world here and no i never plan on intending to go there i don't give a fuck how well known i am online or offline since people know me as "real name so and so" as a local game collector who keeps to themselves and has a thing for retro weeb stuff i am not going at all period .

So to keep things simple, conventions today are not like the conventions of yesterday back then it was for geeks by geeks now its corporate buttfucked into normiefag shit,e-thots and market trade shows.

Panels are all bunch of woke shit like loli bad and schizophrenic alphabet soup especially 41 percenter shit good and funny i still remember the one time some tifa cosplayer got clowened on by a guy and well everyone else quietly for some anti loli stuff ofc sexualizon for thee since you are tifa but not for fictional fucking characters who have no human rights.

Also cosplayers speaking of which, lot of them are some fucking ethot shit using either hotshit airing rn or that one chick from gurren laggan and cosplay not consent funny since so many fucking onlyfans thots complain bout sexualization yet they still keep on doing it.

And going to stray further from the topic here but no, genshit and kpop are not anime related honestly while yes lot of jackass weebs with either gambling addiction issues or mommy/daddy issues like them but they shouldn't be allowed at cons since its one part gambling on one side and another part well real life perfect blue waiting to happen.

But back to a topic for a bit, if isn't hot shit memoriblia its either those stuff or fucking godforsaken faggot shit like the fucking rainbow flags or especially that fucking blue pink and white symbol that 41 percenters love as much as a shotgun to the fucking mouth and hopefully blasting it and suceeding to doing so.

Ofc, can't forget the vaccine stuff too can't really say im worried bout covid but the plandemic we're in rn is fucking media illiteracy and gen-z kids going fucking schizo every fucking second on social media.

Also can't forget kickvic too still a huge reason why conventions should be avoided.

STD testing yeah as consex is a thing and now look, if you and your parnter are sexually active do it at home and not at a fucking convention or fucking hotel you are in and don't go sex up the thots there either. Yeah also orgies too now the persona orgy back then was a cap but still they do happen im certain of it especially at the furry and mlp related schizodens.

Don't expect friendship to happen there either not in real life and not in online either just don't people in general are all fucking idiots at conventions and you shouldn't expect friendship or pleasentires at any kind be it from congoers or the panelists thats there i've learned a long time ago from my time on anime forums and even real life to an extent that people are fucking idiots and that should conclude my thread, anything else you like to add on how dogshit conventions are these days? let me know down in the comments.

I'm really sad that I missed out on the days of actual, fun conventions by and for geeks.
I always felt like it seemed too corporate these days. Then you remember the type of people you'll undoubtly meet there, who are there because it's popular not because it's a convention for geeks.

It's just a shame.

I have thought of visiting an anime convention once, but considering the whole Weimerican atmosphere surrounding social gatherings in general, I simply avoid them altogether. The closest that I have gotten was actually in college, in which there were some Japanese-related events that were really just an excuse to show off otaku-related stuff that's familiar with weebs while completely bizarre for everyone else. I only went to one of these special events because I was curious, and while there were a couple of genuinely cool people, it wasn't worth it. It was awkward to see the cosplayers in maid outfits (both guys and gals), as it seemed like most of them had one of those odd faces and widened body figures (regardless of their yellow/brown/white skin). I think one of the cosplayers is a trap, too. There was some dance to kick off the "special" event, except that one or two people barely knew how to dance. There was also some cake served for everyone, although I think it tasted a bit frozen. The only reason that I kept staying was that there were a few dudes at one table that were talking about monster girls (I think Monster Musume had aired around that time), and I had a fun time chatting about spider girls, lamias, tits, and legs. I'm think it's around 2015 when this all happened. It would certainly have been a lot worse if I went back nowadays.

I believe it's impossible to have a comfy American equivalent to something like Comiket because that Japanese event was not only made for weebs by weebs, but it was also a showcase and sharing ground for indie media by indie enthusiasts. One could try to argue that there are already similar conventions like SXSW or PAX, but that's full of those modern cliques and other annoyances that plague most conventions (at least in the USA).

1)Cliques yeah i always make it a point and often say to avoid them at all times. Be it e-kids or wokies.

2)Yeah can't really blame you and even in school lol i avoided clubs together lol.

3)There really isn't such a thing as geniunely cool person like i can 100 percent gurantee you those guys could have been wokies.

4)Yeah lets be real here, while i ain't exactly going to reveal what i look like but i get it alot that i'm told to be super attractive like i ain't really capping lol lot of female weebs are ugly as shit and the attractive ones are all thots gotta be real here and both sides of the attractive spectrum are really just clout chasing woke grifters and also yeah kpop too like lol i aint listening to fucking kpop or playing fucking gacha with you since all of them are fucking woke tourist magnets.

5)Well yeah thats what all western culture does at the end of the day fuck things up.

While not an anime convention, i always wanted to go to E3 back when i was a teenager. I remember flipping game magazines that talked about E3 in the 2000s (I still have them!) and being in awe with all the cool games and stuff in display, but since i'm a third world shitter, not only i never went to one but i never will since both the old world and E3 are gone.

I shame of what E3 became in it's later years, completely overtaken by corporations, streamers and people who really don't give a damn about games or it's culture. Now when i look at those same game magazines, all i feel is sadness for a time long gone by, and a world that no longer exists.

Absolutely agreed. I will admit there are weird people in this country and a lot end up needing to be placed on a strict fruit diet and lay off the sugar that end up looking really round than usual. But like always there is good people within this country who are actual fans and you do end up becoming friends with them due to genuine interests. I think that you are correct about mainstream conferences, but not about local conventions or things that can be hosted at least in a city and creating possible meetups for social gatherings. Right now i think the main problem is the fact with Crunchyroll hitting it big, Manga and Anime have kind of hit too much of a mainstream status where i have to think a lot of these types who are blending in with it, do not really like it and just are there to be apart of the scene. I look forward for the huge fall that will finally happen to Japanese things like Manga, Anime and Video Games, so it can finally be for fans who are legitimate about their like for these things than those that are artificial and rewriting everything to fit what they think things are.

It's the same with every other thing, but it will die out like all things. It will become a novelty and people will get bored and move onto something else.

There's weird people everywhere in this case its too damn normalized having mental illness if isn't normal that its a reason why it never was normalized in the first place.

No such thing honestly in my area since here in Canada majority of everyone since soydeau is commie adjacent.

Even local conventions too could have their elements of soy infusion in it and lets be real the smaller localer ones aren't any better than the bigger ones since it still has the same aforementioned issues i mentioned.

And yep like i've always said its fucking cloutchasers and only a tourist would be mad at the term tourist.

You forgot bout laying off the drugs too as i am 100 percent certain lot of these schizo woke behaviors online and irl are fueld by drugs like meth or heroin.

LOL i live in fucking Canada, its a fucking shithole of lefties and fucking tourists in the anime/gaming community and here in spooky's morality/viewpoints there is no such thing at all as a good person these days since its either braindead fucking normies or braindead fucking politicaltards especially woke or trad ones.

Oh that crash is going to have to come soon enough and i hope it comes soon like i'd so love an entire seasonal slate full of shimoneta or shimoneta like stories just to piss these tourists out of there lol.

Companies (at least some) are starting to air some shit the tourist twitter users would cry about.

There's a video that is called something like "Black lagoon couldn't be made nowadays" if gushing over magical girls could get a site to air them then something like black lagoon could get aired today, but of course there'd still be nutjobs calling themselves black lagoon fans then saying "why character say mean word" "literal gooner coomer porn addict bait"

I honestly avoid black lagoon fans cause they are often the yass slay queen type of misandrists you see in alot of shojo fans ironic considering how shojo fans see anything else non shojo as scum of the earth.
