I think some people owe Mangalawyer an apology after this statement. Was he right to call it censorship? No. But he was correct that the physics were different.
In all fairness I think everyone needs to apologize to each other. This ended up being a gigantic misunderstanding on all ends. First the calls for censorship where false, it was just coding error of porting something to a brand new engine which people were right about, including myself pointing at Ninja Gaiden as an example of where this happened or Warriors Orochi(funny enough both Koei Tecmo titles and how Japan does have bad debugging when it comes to things) and it is being fixed. Second the assumption that the Physics were different, which Mangalawyer was correct about.
Main issue I think comes down to a lack of communication and that the tendency to call for Censorship when there is open dialogue with the main developer who is willing to talk things out is not a good look. It's understandable if it's Capcom, Nintendo, or any big corporate thing. But to someone like me when it comes to AA or Indies, it's their livelihood and we need to discuss things and call out to them, send an email and see what happens, and talk before we pull the censorship card. Otherwise we might be harming ourselves as a whole and having to circle back to this every single time cutting ourselves further.
