The context of the story is, Rin use to be Very fucking huge that 4chan spammed alot of threads of comparing her to pippa on getting more youtuber subs and matching her CCV averages or atleast close to Pippa is like a new rising star. But the Idol manager fucked it up for everyone with the management was fucking a member announcement that people would make assumptions that all idol members are probably getting fucked by their coworkers, etc. I am assuming the 3 reasons why they have not got poached to phase connect is. 1. They have some contract timeframe they have to complete. 2. maybe they feel bad leaving the low CCV idol members by themselves. 3. The CEO has alot of money to throw at them to stream since he is known for throwing alot of money at shit and barely getting good return investment back from his decisions.
The Idol CEO Riro tweet rant, nux drama, nijisanji EN member choices that killed unicorns, goslings and fujo audiences, Coco and Rushia choices,, twitch vtuber choices, etc are all examples of why you should never make decisions on an impulse but rather to stop and think of what kind of effects they will have before making that decision or finding someone to talk to about it before acting. Why would Rin ever join PC? She makes extensive use of Idol's resources.
The only thing keeping Idol's workers down is the strict enforcement of marketability- at least in public spaces. (None of them can be racist/too 'based' or controversial.)
As far as I remember PC is actually pretty poor as far as Vtuber Agencies go in its current belt class. But it's carried by its extreme Laissez faire approach to managing its employees. (Panko dropping N-Bombs and getting away with it, for example. Or y'know, Pippa pre-Hogwarts drama.)
I don't think Rin would benefit from joining PC on the basis that she isn't really racist to begin with. She's very plain.
I also don't think Riro's termination affected viewership. It definitely didn't /help/ but the termination wouldn't have been cause of alarm.
Final note: Currently there's a huge decline in viewership individually for vtubers because the craze has died down a bit. It spiked during Covid for obvious reasons but as a lot of people join or grow more active in the workforce you'll see a further decline in total viewer-pool entertainers have to draw from. It has been on my mind for awhile but there's just so many dudes available who'll watch vtubers. In the end what matters is getting ones that'll whale for you.
Silver knows this well and takes good care of her remaining fans because they're committed to keeping her around. It's the same tactic most gacha-games use. They care little for getting new players after a time, just keeping old ones around.
