Agreed. I do not follow Western Youtubers and media. It's all just ragebait ad nauseum for the clicks and the viewership more often than not. They will also try to sound like they are on your side and/or be centrist but will get rid of you as soon as possible once it's convenient that they have enough audience size to do so. They have no principals at all.
The only way to get rid of this cycle is for people unsub from these types of people and stop giving attention. Only then can things really change. Do not reward a system that is taking advantage of you even if you think it's for your best interest. Make it serve you not the other way around.
