First of all shoutout to the classic goth angel and of course emo anime drawings circulating around the 2000s era if you remember these drawings you're a goat in my opinion.

So why is it the best era? simply put gatekeeping,actual passion from the fans,shitty but charming fansubs with memorable memes like keikaku means plan. And also other memes too like nice boat and haruhi especially haruhi and 2000s kyoto animation and madhouse were a different breed thats how good they were.

The games too yep! i still own lot of the tie in stuff even to this day and the dvds it sometimes comes with it too.

The music too visual kei and hikaru utada hitomi shimitami tommy heavenly buck tick and dir en grey damn without them lot of us wouldn't be here without them.

Finally gatekeeping we would never allowed woke shit to gone by then thankfully now differnt story. :/

I do like looking at older Konachan/Yandere illustrations.
But I don't feel Anime is completely destroyed by woke. Yes, international publishers are woke and succumbing to financial censorship, but Manga, Art, I would say even Doujin Games and less popular Anime are safe for now.

Also the battle is not lost. I am looking forward into learning Japanese since any translations nowadays is put under the same treatment as Communist regimes in Eastern Block.
