pretty much.
To be fair to pleroma, I'm not an amazing server admin either, I'm sure (hopeful or cope :zt-think:) there's lots of places it could be optimized on our instance.

performance and the inability to make the features I'd want are the main reason I'll be switching to our own backend/frontend sometime in the future
 
My requests to make for a better user experience:

1. Emoji reacts (prob already planned unless you want to kill the fun)
2. An option to view OPs only (by default this is the case for X/Soapbox)
3. An option to view the timeline of a specific instance that isn't our own. (also a feature that's available in Soapbox)
4. A "tree view" style when looking at threads, this cascading style of reading replies is easier to navigate and you are less likely to crash your browser in the case of hellthreads if you're only trying to look at a specific branch. For those that don't know what I'm talking about because this wonderful feature is disabled by default in pleroma, here's what tree view looks like:

5. Display a hovering reply to whatever a reply is replying to. Already exists in pleroma and soapbox.
 
In the past 3 days i've updated it quite a bit.

This may be a dumb question do we need new accounts for this one? I tried login in but it keeps saying I have the wrong username and password.
It could also be that I forgot my password:retard:

I have like the same problem with a account recently made. Dunno if its on me.

Because I entered the forum, read this thread and went to make one on that page. I'm not confusing it with Varis Hangout 🤣
 
You should give it a way to recover your password or something, because I registered a few days ago (this time it sent me the email) but it tells me that my password is incorrect even though I am entering the one I used because it is automatically saved in my password manager ( and I had it copied). So I can't log in ＞﹏＜

Edit: Also some questions. Attached is an image, why does it look so cut off? There is a lot of space on the page and the videos appear cut off in the feed and only look full if I put the page at 70-80% zoom. My monitor is 1440x900.

The username is red_dewberry and and I thought I had made it this time because I was sent a activation email T_T
 
Could be retarded and 100% willing to admit it, but when I try to register it just says that it failed and to try again later.

you wait. spamming will do nothing. you have to activate your account. through an email. that won't be sent. cause the mail servers acting up.

I tried to register, but didn't get an e-mail. Is the mail server still acting up? Had a similar problem signing up for this forum, IIRC, where I had to be manually approved using a different e-mail.
 
I've been able to join this one, but not the other one (Varishangout.net). Is it closed?
