Discussion What do you think of Animesexuals?

Mans-Based-Innit

varishangout.com
Animesexual is a form of Fictosexual in where someone has a primary or exclusive sexual attraction towards anime characters and have little to no sexual attraction towards real people. Animesexuals commonly have romantic and sexual attractions for particular characters known as 'waifus' a 'waifu' refers to a fictional character (commonly female although I've seen femboys, shotas and Yaoi characters called waifus) in a manga or anime.

The term is controversial among the LGBTQ+ community as it have been deemed to be a appropriation of the LGBTQ+ and a "mockery of the LGBTQ+ community" with some even questioning the legitimacy of those who identify with the term it is also widely believed that the term began as a trolling trolling op.

animesexual et coming out !

I learned about this last month when I saw it being brought up in some memes and I became interest I couldn't find much about animesexuality just a page on the Sexuality and Orientation Wiki and some discussions online but the discussions are usually just people making fun of the idea of being animesexual or people ironically calling them self's "animesexuals" I don't see much serious discussion of the topic witch is a sham I really identify with this TL:DR my whole life I've been more attracted to fictional characters then I am to real people when I was young I used to watch the porn that other people in my would watch and I just didn't like it I was disgusted by it I remember in school all the other kids would talk about how hot the girls/boys where while I was interested in the characters I would see in the animes I watched. Can anyone else relate to this?

maybe there are other words to describe this attraction that would have more serious discussions than this meme, idk what it would be but one thing for sure you are definetly not alone with this attraction

as of myself i don't think i can be considered animesexual (i find it kinda weird falling in love with anime characters since you never actually interact with them and they don't even know who you are) but i may be something even deeper than that since my gf is literally an OC of mine and I may have given up on actual irl people since they can be a pain in the ass to deal with and most of them are low quality and the ones that are not have no sexual interest in me

anyway you remind me a bit about tomo-chan who used to be on this forum before vanishing into thin air are you his reincarnation ?

Well, there's "Fictosexuality" which seems to be taken more seriously with it even having it's own Wikipedia page and there's "Nijikon" which is Japanese for "2D complex" I can't really think of much else personally I like anime addict or cunny connoisseur

What do you mean by "attraction"? I'm sure most people are attraction to some cartoon characters but what I'm talking about is the exclusive sexual attraction towards cartoons characters. When it comes to real people I would considered asexual I can't think of any real person I would have sex with there all underwhelming to me

I've got a lot of questions, did you make the character for the soul reason of being your girlfriend? do you have dates or like anniversary's with your OC? how do you communicate with your OC? when did you make the decision to make your OC your girlfriend?

I was never interested in the first whole dating nonsense in the place

I looked up his name I couldn't much about him I assume that he was a fellow 2D cunny enjoyer so maybe

yea i did not just make her to be my gf it kinda just happened originally she was supposed to be like my new identity my new secret secondary identity on the internet because i thought like being multiple people at once on the internet was cool but in the end she didn't really interact much on the internet but i always had like a session to her name on my computers I also did some attempts at like world building and stuff ofc she was always in those

as of how we communicate she's mostly like a voice in my head and she's there when i try to visit the worlds i make in my head i don't actually interact with her everyday it's almost kind of rare actually but she was definetly here the moments i needed her the most

I looked up his name I couldn't much about him I assume that he was a fellow 2D cunny enjoyer so maybe
oh so you're not actually him with a new account then

too bad you missed him you too would have gotten along pretty well I guess

Before this thread, I have never heard of fictosexual (F-sex), and the same goes for animesexual. According to Wikipedia, the oldest reference that talks about F-sex is 2020.

The Japanese term you mentioned as Nijikon, 2D-Complex (二次元コンプレクス), was used in the early 1980s in reference for the '2D-Lolicon' phenomenon. Patrick W Galbraith wrote an entire book on this subject called 'Otaku and the Struggle for Imagination in Japan'. The book should be relevant to your own situation if you're primarily or solely attracted to anime characters, since Galbraith largely avoids talking other aspects of its history covered in some of the articles translated or linked in one of my threads on this site's anime board.

Though, 2D-Complex isn't exclusively anime. It also pertains to photographs, which makes more sense to me when black and white photography and film were popular. I'm unsure about 2D-Complex when it comes to modern photography (i.e. someone having a 2D-Complex for a Sports Illustrated pin-up of Kate Upton photoshopped to have smooth skin that would vehemently reject the advances of a real Kate Upton bereft of photoshop and swimwear).

The man who popularised Lolicon in Japan, and also the western concept of Hentai, would refer to those who are exclusively attracted to anime characters as Manga Moratorium Humans. These Manga Moratorium Humans would also be called Soft Lolicon, and then later Otaku.

Anime Otaku, or your so-called animesexuals, would be part of the Japanese LGBTQ:
  • L: Lolicon
  • G: Gar
  • B: Bishounen/Bishoujo
  • T: Trap
  • Q: Queen
But in seriousness, there's a lot of discussion about this. Just don't search for it under animesexual or fictosexual. Those are modern words for known things that have been a growing part of both Japan and the West for around several decades. I'm surprised you didn't already go to somewhere like 4chan and meet a whole multitude of people like yourself.

Can you find a PDF of this book?

On a side note this Patrick W. Galbraith guy is as based as can be. He's a academic, lecturer and author who at the age of only 40 has written TEN books that's unbelievable most people don't even do that in there whole career and there about Otaku Culture and anime which isn't something I was not expecting an academic to be writing about I'm just imagining him in a fancy party with other academics talking about what they study and it's normal things like psychology, chemistry, political science etc etc and he's like "yeah, so you know just cunny"

This seems like a meme and nothing else. Attraction to objects / fictional entities exists, but if you start having to categorize into sub-sub-categories it is 100% meme tier faggotry.
Also I do not believe, that you can be attracted solely to anime characters. You still would be attracted to human features. If you think that you are an "Animesexual", then you are probably a porn addict that has such a coomer brain, that you can no longer get off to anything that isn't unrealistically perfect. Thus, you think you are not attracted to humans, while in actuality just being messed up by porn.

Well, I certainly can mostly because I am
You still would be attracted to human features.
Yeah, a caricature of human features that is unrecognisable from real people it's like how someone can be attracted to Garfield without being attracted to real cats also don't you lolicons always talk about how you can't be nonce because of how unrealistic lolis are?

I may have already brought this up but I was never been into porn I watch some when I was 12/13 and didn't like it. Even when I was a kid I had an affinity towards fictional characters the earliest memory of I have of being aroused by anything was when I was 5-to-7 years old to the character Lola Bunny from the movie 'Space Jam'

There meant for who's ever using them

I'm not him but why do you think I am?
