A lot of this normalization stuff seemingly comes from Reddit NoFap shit. Many of them straight up talk about porn escalation. No actually good study has really managed to showcase the common point that taboo (see rape and incest as well) porn/erotica can erode your morals into thinking that stuff is okay IRL. Sometimes people just say "its common sense" which uh, it isn't? And something being "common sense"/"seemingly obvious" means jack shit. Common sense was/is often used to justify fucking Flat Earth lmao.

I'd bring up comparing this shit to propaganda is another dumb point but one people think is somehow intelligent. Propaganda only works on people who don't know better about what they're being feed BS about. People consuming incest porn know the topic is immoral IRL and no amount of porn watching will corrupt their morals or w/e.

A lot of arguments by these people fall under pseudo-intellectualism actually. "Drawing of what" is one entirely based on semantics. It doesn't make a difference if the drawing is of a fake apple or a fake person the drawing is still a drawing and not real. People will say calling it fictional/'just a drawing' is semantics too but in fact it DOES make a difference if a person is fictional. Fictional people aren't tangible in any real way, they don't have rights and can't be 'violated' like real people can. This is especially applicable to unrealistic anime designs. (if traits like eyeballs that take up a third of the skull and basically button noses were on real people they'd be grotesque) An idea/concept of something can't meaningfully be 'abused' like a sentient being can.

I have a thread in the anime board where I've been translating articles regarding the history of Lolicon (Link). The thread has roughly 4~5 hours of translated reading material, not counting the hours spent visiting Japanese links and other Japanese resources to deepen your understanding or knowledge.

One thing I've been considering after seeing a couple users on this board say incorrect stuff with unwarranted certainty would be to create another thread that goes more into subject of what is and isn't a Loli with a test to get your Loli Expert Licence. Though I'm hesitant cause I'm personally grappling with edge cases regarding things I would consider to be proto-Loli like Betty Boop; she was used as an example explaining the concept of Lolicon in an illustrated article in the Fusion Product Lolicon Special Issue. It's easy to point to characters like Asahina Mikuru and say with certainty they are Loli, but it's another matter to say Disney's Snow White is a Loli; the latter, in my opinion, is merely important in understanding the things that would lead to Lolicon and would be useful only from an academic or scientific perspective.

They act like they own a color scheme and all the fucking colors of the Rainbow, but take no mind to copying a image, slapping their gay flag shit on it, deleting the original image hosted, and then kicking the original author to prevent taking any action against them.
