Anyone know good alternatives to MangaDex?

Ever since MangaRock and KissManga were nuked, I really took a liking to MangaDex but now its been offline for more than a month and a half, and I need to have my crack manga addiction enabled again.

I did find HiperDex for the Manhwas I read (Stepmother's friends, Perfect Half & Silent War), but for normal Japanese Manga all the sites I found were literally fake copy pastes of KissManga or some other adware filled pissholes that either constantly opened popups or even tried to install adware/malware in the background or it was a shit interface and a real struggle to read the pages.

yea I've not found a good one. but with any luck, Dex will be back soon. I think they just opened the public API beta

like Dex is just so fucken good and it's amazing how its better then paid "legit and legal" alternatives tbh

the wonder of the free market. if you don't restrict content with licenses bullshit, the sites have to actually compete and not be lazy.
yep. like Dex offers so many good and useful features, tbh if they went legit and started being a storefront as well as a site for authors to have their work on translated for free as well id be 100% down. I think it could work tbh, like have it be steam but for manga, tho I guess that's how CR went downhill and we all know how that went. it's just annoying how trash "official" sites are and tbh and outside of maybe book walker and I think jump I don't think there are any real official sites for most manga

think about if book walkers bullshit was as good as Dex. be amazing

all of the legal book sites are just not worth it for me. I can't download PDF's (fuck DRM) and the official translation is often inferior to the fan version. So why bother paying when i can get the better product for free. If i want so support the author i rather buy a physical copy.

To be honest, there aren't any. For better or worse, MangaDex is not only the best service for browsing and downloading manga available but also so far above the rest of its competitors that there is no legitimate competition. The only other service of reasonably high quality I could list is Dynasty Scans (yes, even in spite of recent behaviors) but they do not have anywhere close to the wide variety of content that MangaDex features.

It's just a waiting game at this point. I kinda figured their original estimates of how long it would take to get things running were optimistic, but I never expected the site to be down this long. Of course, it's better to take things slow and ensure things are done right before a relaunch, so I can't be too upset (plus I have a lot of physical media I could read anyway). Just be sure in the future to stock up on your reserves in case of another event like this, because frankly I have never been impressed with MangaDex's stability and I highly doubt v5 is actually going to prevent downtime much. Please prove me wrong, devs.

Well if you have your library offline then you could try using all those shitty aggregate sites as a stopgap or get them directly from scanlator sites. Thank god for Tachiyomi which made this process fairly easy.

Edit I should mention that reading shitty aggregate site manga through Tachiyomi keeps ads out.

Ah, I use Tachiyomi too, but the problem is that I don't read stuff on my phone. Only on PC. So I guess emulator it is. The problem will be transfering the files from the emulator to my host OS's HDD. I honestly have no idea how to do that.
