So, commanders. I'm considering starting Azur Lane.
Up until this point, I've largely kept a rule of only two gacha at once (in my case, Fate/Grand Order and Arknights). I had almost gotten into Girls Frontline, particularly around the time of the VA-11 Hall-A event, but after having missed it and learning that it was gone for good, my interest soured.
On the other hand, Azur Lane has managed to hold my interest all this time, though that is largely owed to its seemingly endless supply of well-designed and largely attractive shipfus. I hadn't even looked at any gameplay footage (or at least remembered any) until very recently, and I found it not only interesting but something I could enjoy myself.
As such, I am giving consideration to breaking my "rule of two", and I'd love any answers to the following:
- How difficult would it be for someone to start now?
- What is the purely free-to-play experience like?
- What sort of artifically limited content will I forever miss for having started so late?
- What sort of opportunities exist to acquire limited content from the past they have made available or acquirable in some form?
- What is the danger of the recent censorship inflicted upon the CN servers infecting global as well?
- Who is best girl?
Thank you in advance for your help.
