I was checking the steam stats yesterday, Strive keeps getting worse and worse numbers, it's barely holding on between 1800 and 2200 players in a 24 hour period, and that number keeps steadily dropping. Meanwhile Xrd the 2nd has actually gained nearly the amount of players Strive lost in the last 30 days. Strive lost close to 900 players, Xrd gained nearly 700. It's pretty clear the more Arc makes bullshit claims, the less people want to have anything to do with Strive.
I really don't see anyone playing this game five years from now and I don't see their next installment hitting anywhere close to "1 million shipped units". And yeah, I'm calling them shipped units, at no point in time has there been any actual proof they sold a million copies. The only concrete number we have is 30k copies on Steam, that may be closer to 40k after Bridget was released.
The only unknown number of copies sold is what was in China, so maybe that's where the other 900k copies are.

Tangential thought: Normies fail to understand the reality of making games and the business logistics of how much money it costs to make them. They also fail to understand that businesses NEVER tell you the truth about poor sales. After all, they only need to tell the truth when it comes to certain revealings (internal docs, investor meetings, court discovery, etc.). So when the Hellena Taylor fiasco was going around, people were wondering why they only would offer 20k (this is after more info came out) when Bayonetta made "millions of dollars." My hypothesis is that ASW has a new Blazblue game in the works with Mori previously at the helm. Many of you are probably familiar that many of the tropes that Mori enjoys that are in BB like huge tits and overt sexual themes like groping are verboten in ASW's current climate. Just a fun little update that I believe further proves this whole thing is directly connected to Chinese law. Remember, China has warehouses full of people who run 20 to 40 accounts at any given moment and will regularly make new accounts. These are all clearly fake accounts, all posting the same thing that would enforce China's ban on effeminate men in entertainment.
I can only assume Arcsys is paying for this since they're the only one's that benefit from having this narrative pushed.
