well i wanted to share my suffering with you niggas, right now i have a MASSIVE backlog of videogames that i have bought but haven't finished or played at all
right now the games i have yet to finish are: dragon quest 11, digimon cyber sleuth, megaman zero 4, disgaea 5, scott pilgrim vs the world and tales of vesperia
now for the games i have sitting there: xenoblade chronicles 2, trials of mana both megaman zx and oninaki
most of these i left incomplete i left them at the half of the game, except for disgaea 5 in which i am at the last chapter but i somehow can't bring myself to finish it
besides that tales of vesperia im still playing and i think im in the later half of the game.

how are you guys doin with your games?
are you finishing them or are you a bunch of lazy fucks like me?
also feel free to share any games that you left incomplete and maybe give a reason why

I have 50ish VNs I need to finish totalling probably over 1000 hours yet I keep dumping all my time into HOI4, War Thunder, Arma, and GTA IV.

although GTA IV I bought like 3 days ago and am actually playing the story of so thats one less game on the backlog
having fun with it so far, i'm excited to play GTA V after.

The rest of my backlog though.... I dread looking at it. So much to play. So much time to do it. Still dont .
and thats just Visual Novels. I've got lots of games but rarely play most of them.

also feel free to share any games that you left incomplete and maybe give a reason why

ah man I'm in the middle of a lot of VNs. Hello, Goodbye, Amario Chocolate, 9-nine, Grisaia series, not cause they're bad but cause I have a really weird need to be in the right mood to watch anime or play/read a VN. I quite enjoy all of them but i'm never in that perfect mood. autistic I know
I never finished Valkyria Chronicles either. Just kinda forgot about it. Same with Yakuza, Dark Souls, Resident Evil 7, Katawa Shoujo (Still need to do all routes), Stalker... basically theres a lot of games

ah... the eternal backlog will haunt us all. I've still got PS2 games I gotta finish. Just chilling in the corner of my room waiting for me to plug it in and play them finally.

Why does brain do this
The hardest part (for me) is starting, after that it's a breeze since (most of the time) it's quite enjoyable. I do get distracted very easily though especially when it comes to VNs and anime... ah pain

It's worse cause I know I'd enjoy watching/playing x anime/video game yet for some reason I don't and go back to raging at War Thunder or HOi4 or whatever's in the addiction checkbook that day.

One of the games I left incomplete was The Witcher 3, and I won't get back to it. Boring combat, that's it, that's the problem, and the storyline is kinda eh, sure.
Also, Drakengard 3. I forget every time, but I never actually finished the last boss, imagine that, a rhythm game with the least amount of QoL. You even have to do some shit blindfolded, because why the fuck not?
I have this problem where I always get entangled in games like AoE2 Definitive Edition, fucking Factorio or even Runescape, so it's very difficult for me to start something and finish something.

My backlog is so bad I've got PS3 games still unopened.

Currently working through Othercide, which I'm loving so far, and Control, which is alright.

I've yet to play the new Doom games, the ResiEvil remakes and some other smaller games that I can't remember off the top of my head. Not a super big backlog but I still have to find time to play them.

A game that I didn't finish playing? That would be Fire Emblem 3H. Idk, it was just kinda mid? Which is weird bc I used to eat up FE games.

I have games that are going to be stuck on my backlog for a while, namely Bloodborne and Ghosts of Tsushima, while I could play both of them now because I do have a PS4, upscaled PS4 games look fucking terrible on my 1440p monitors to a point where it kinda hurts my eyes, so I'm stuck until PS4 emulation is a thing that exists.

For things that are immidiately playable though, Dark Souls 3, Atelier Ryza, The Outer Worlds, Outer Wilds, Oriental Empires, Resident Evil 2 remake, Subnautica, Sunless Skies, honestly I think it would be easier to find a backlog tracker site and track it that way. I am making progress though, managed to complete Nightmare Reaper chapter 2 and I've started Risk of Rain 2.

I will always be ashamed by this, and in reality, it's an even lower figure considering it probably counts the games I just logged in for a couple minutes or two as "played".

I can't even tell if my anime or manga or game backlog is worse at this point. Procrastination infests all facets of life.

I'm only playing 2 games atm The Nonary Games on the ps4 and Xenogears on my ps2.
