People have already said this but if you have someone proofread to correct some of the mistakes of the A.I. then there's no reason to not use it over hiring a localizer

In reality this "someone" will be the same person that would've translated the source if AI/MTL wasn't an option, and they will have just as much free reign to change whatever they want, so the quantity of censorship/marvel jokes/memes will stay the same. In fact this has been a common practice for years now (called MTPE), and is just an excuse to pay translators a lower rate than usual.

What these localizers don't seem to realize (or perhaps they do, a little too late) is that the easiest way to reverse this trend would've been to use public outcry - if publishers notice their customer base is vehemently against IA, they'll twice before using it again. But as we all know the bridge between consumers (at least of otaku culture) and localizers is long burned and people are actually advocating FOR AI, lol.

Eh, Twitter is pretty cancer so I think it's reasonable to assume he got sick of dealing with Twitter trannies. And as Brazio said they did call and fuck with his workplace so that probably played a role as well. I do agree though, would be nice if he posted somewhere other than Reddit, maybe the fediverse or something.

Twitter is shit but at least it is easy to navigate. I can't keep track of his posts on reddit even if I wanted to since the layout is probably the worst of any website, and his posts are usually downboated by the reddit hivemind which makes it even harder.
