So the remake is a fat skip from me. Specifically because GUESS WHO IS FUCKING HELPING WITH LOCALIZING IT. THE ONE AND ONLY katrinaltrnsl8r. I guess we have to wait for a fansub to come out because if she is getting to "do her own thing" then the english subtitles will be completely "woke-fied". This is disgusting.
I know she is not actually doing the subbing "according to her" HOWEVER... Knowing what she is like, she will almost certainly worm in some shit and twist shit to fit some BS narrative.
I am absolutely gutted about this but unless we get a fan translation I will not be able to play this due to the fact she will just ruin everything. I have not played P3 and want my first experience with it to not be some woke SJW bullshit. Is that so much to ask in this day and age?

True, however persona 3 and 4 both have extremely lackluster gameplay and repetitive mundane level visual design for the "palaces". So I would wait out the remake for that purpose alone. With P4G I played it and felt myself getting very very bored by the 2nd half of the game. I loved the characters don't get me wrong but the dungeons were so copy paste it was a slog to get through. I did play the first 4 hours of P3P and felt P underwhelmed.
Also the removal of vic as Junpei Iori is tragic. The cast swap feels pretty bad for the english. SO playing in JP is the only option. In a worst case scenario I will play it in JP with no english subs as my JP knowledge is rough but I can probably put it together if I try hard enough.
I wish they ported FeS instead of P3P, atlus has a history of doing that though. Like with catherines PC release it was not "full body" just the original. Most likely so they can release full body later on pc and charge another sum for it, basically selling the game twice over.
I will give it a bit to see if anyone announces working on a true and loyal translation before playing P3 original though. As I would rather have the experience be through the remake if people are willing to make it "un-woke".

I emailed Atlus to complain about this.
Let's see what the answer will be... depending on whether it's a rude answer and speaking between the lines or literally "If you think it's bad, don't buy Persona 3!", take the opportunity to use this to simply ruin the game's sales numbers so much here on both in the West and in Japan, spreading across the internet what Atlus' position is on this, and how it despises its original and old audience.
The whole lgbt thing has been sort of a big talking point in Japan this year, so sadly its not that surprising that is on the trailer there. At least it doesnt have that awful new flag

Yep and it was retardera who originally started this campaign against atlus/persona team (that thread even triod to dox employees and their families) which lead to censorship of both catherine and p5r. The extra dungeon and Aigis's story aside, I still prefer portable version because FeMC is super cute and cheery. Atlus choosing not to bring her back in remake was probably to stem the criticism about her romance, among other things feminists might find faulty.
I don't see the point in playing a female in a game with a large emphasis on dating. Then you have to watch gay romance scenes with the guys instead.
Plus Portable severely gimped the story scenes by turning them into a static VN.
