Jello pretty much contradicts himself when he says that he can't say what Marissa thinks because she's connected to the industry by explicitly pointing out that "she was annoyed about having to localize the scripts for this show because she had just watched through the show and didn't really like the characters." I think that says full well how Marissa felt about dubbing the show. But she's not the one who wrote the post talking about how much she absolutely hated the show she was hired to dub.

Can agree. Jello admitted what everyone knew and the thing is they are throwing Jello under the bus hoping nobody will notice that they are still behind the curtain. They are influencing everything and trying to care about optics and tactics to maintain their hegemony in various industries. It's why Jello mentions " you can use Chuvanist but you can not use Incel, Femcel, etc because they will notice and spam it everywhere." The fact we have the Japantimes article and even Jello's admission means we have concrete evidence this is happening. It's not even a conspiracy it's reality.
Sevakis is apart of Discotek but mostly as a video editor for clean up work. He does manage to get a few projects he likes approved due to his relationship with the company. But I will say that he should be fired and blacklisted including Katrina. Until then nobody should be buying from Discotek as a whole because they are still in the industry to do whatever they want, to alter anything and to influence the industry in the worst ways.

It's them misrepresenting the argument and making themselves look like victims. It's a very common tactic for extremists to use especially their kind that is no different than the opposition. The studio contracted to make the dub, Sound Cadence, also put out a statement. To no one's surprise it doesn't directly address any concerns about the translation specifically, just burying it behind "a bunch of people who probably have the same opinions and political leanings look at the script it's totally fine!" statement.
Seemingly some of Jello's ideas were thrown into the trash. Someone on twitter who braved the dub (I wonder if rips are available) found that the mangaka cameo at the end of the series was put back in (oops, Jello, why didn't you leave the project right there and then? Isn't that completely unforgivable?). The clips didn't have the "well that's my job!" line, but I don't know if the clip was incomplete or if that was cut.
In any case, this doesn't even come close to absolving them of what happened, since I'm sure all of the layers the script went through have very similar opinions to Jello and Marissa, but they just aren't saying it out loud like Jello did. And of course, it doesn't absolve them of the fact that both the head writer and the contracted writer have made it very clear they hated the source material.
It's the whole industry doing damage control while the sky is falling saying everything is fine. But admitting they are complicit in everything from top to bottom. At this point they can not memory hole it away. The damage is done.

I would not be surprised considering Sal Ramano is probably in that same clique, wanted to do damage, and pretend for awhile to be anti-censorship. That site always bans comments even those who have an obvious criticism with Sony and i am convinced allows troll comments for viewership and ad clicks. The problem is Gematsu is an excellent gaming news site because it actually has up to date calendars on all events from Japan and keeps up to date on Japanese content even niche and small to big. Until Nichegamer competes with this i do not know how else it can grow and become something more than what it is now.
