this ones a bit late(like many other posts here) but anyways here's a ruleset a guy on twitter came up with.
maybe i'll update it later with some opinions from fedi(maybe)
also feel free to add throw some ideas if you feel like
Some amendments i would add on top of this.
#2 Do not buy the game, but be vocal about why you do not like the game, provide sources, provide your reasons, make sure it is true.
Do not make assumptions and go into hyper paranoid mode over nothing with no sources. GG 1.0 was like this at points and were sidetracked from attacking, they took everything they thought was censored, quickly sounded the alarm and then were easily were debunked at points, and thought anyone who was proving them wrong was another person causing wasteful infighting. As long as you do this, more Video Game companies are going to take notes of your responses and they care about their sales and money, they want your money, they need to know why it bombed in the first place. If they see it was censored due to posts on social media and youtube with well thought out comments, they are going to try to figure out how to remedy the problem to prevent it in the future.
On #4 I would say to not care about grifters who are popular making a comment or remark like Asmongold did that one time dedicating a video or two towards these people, trust me from experience, yes it sucks in some ways because it may FEEL like they are grifting, but it's because they are taking the safe side, common sense side, maximum reward, low risk. Also it helps gain audience to our ends, because they only care about what their favorite authority figure thinks. We need these types to comment, we need them to say Fanservice, Loli, and Anti-Censorship is good. Culture should be respected when brought from one country to the other, not made into memes, and political insertions. We are fighting for a better industry here.
#5 most important thing is to remember if you are a top figure, or if you are in a movement as the top guy, you are going to have everyone try to dox you, try to get your IP. Opsec is important, but not as much as getting a VPN with a router, and anti DDOS capabilities and really being careful if you are going full attack dog mode.
#6 Also Do not call out hypocrisy, use data, all that much. Use emotional appeals and broad understanding of a subject. Most people are not highly literate online, providing easy digestible visual examples help. There is a reason why people are now getting why censorship is bad, why all of these things hurt in the long run. It's because it's evolving to be easier and understood by normals online.
Final Note: Bring the gaming industry to it's knees by not buying games you know are not good, and tell others about it as well why you do not like it. This is the people VS the industry itself. Keep suggesting alternatives that can remedy the problem like AI Translations, keep attacking the source of all the Governments/Corporations funding these people, and keep demanding for more accurate translations, that are more respectful of another person's culture rather than remaking that culture in their own image.
EDIT: Also try to not use buzzwords like WOKE, SJW etc. It's just a quick way for you to be shadow banned online and for normals to not take you seriously.
