Read the thread I hate myself for it, but basically they just shite on about how they hope the character is trans and that they don't have an way of actually knowing based off what little info we have. And that they head cannon the character as trans. They tried to use certain terms as a catch all. But regardless it's a shit thread if I ever seen one.

Apparently you can't just be gay anymore, or feminine. According to these people if you act like a girl or dress like a girl you're automatically trans. Then they "claim" the character, like bridgett, and declare that any thought to the contrary is transphobic.

I'm pretty confident the original version does what normally happens with these characters and does what they did with Shiver and Juniper, meaning no actual "gendered" language in his description, but the character most likely uses boku because it's cute.

you forget that such people are usually autistic enough to the point where you can literally tell they're autistic just by looking at them from across the road due to a lack of sense of physical appearance (and general lack of attractiveness IRL) - if not that, the sound of their voice and their speech patterns alone would give them away.
again, such people are vulnerable, easily manipulated, and often overly horny. sometimes they are destined to be shitty people no matter what, sometimes they are groomed into becoming shitty people, with no way to turn them back around. they join Discords for their nerd hobbies, and then they feel like they 'belong' for the first time in their lives after all the shit they're given at school for pretty much existing, and then that's when the predators kick in and start making them question their gender identity - the beginning of it being all the trans flags and discussion about their transness and what offended them in the realm of troonistan this week.
it genuinely makes me sad how few of these people ever recover from this and they literally just keep going until the diversity hires come through, and they gain utmost power over western society. the ones that do recover are left mentally wrecked from it all and considered traitors (and have to live with whatever atrocities they may have committed in their time), worse still if they took hormones and whatnot.
the governments probably are encouraging this absolute shitshow because it helps them in their road to creating complete and utter fucking chaos, distracting everyone from the real issues going on. we're already at the point where wrongthink pretty much means you're ostracised from a certain portion of society and have to essentially hide in order to avoid mobs at your door trying to post your address on twitter (see: what happened to jk rowling a while ago because she said troons don't menstruate)
maybe I shouldn't feel bad for troons but it's really clear to me, many of them were just ordinary, awkward teenagers at some point who were upstreamed into that shit by all the groomers on game modding/retro PC communities and whatnot - had they never came across such communities online, they'd never have trooned out

The ironic part is that Chihiro's whole motivation was to become stronger so he could actually be a manly man, but whatever, even if the author was just a coward, it still his own decision whether Chihiro Is a boy or a girl, whether you like it or not the only word that matter is the author's.
Honestly, I just wish people would stop being like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for lgbtq+ representation, but if an author doesn't want to put a queer character on their piece for whatever reason, they don't have to. Simple as that. A character's identity, personality, aesthetic and sexuality is solely chosen by the author and point. They are the ones writing it, therefore it's their choice whether a character is lgbtq+ or not. And you can't deny that femboys and tomboys >ARE< a thing and they aren't necessarily lgbtq+, putting all character who are femboys or tomboys as trans, lesbian, non binary and etc is actually excluding people who are like this and aren't lgbtq+ from getting represented in media. If you want representation, then you should include all kinds of people.
