Just bored and wanted to see how the warning stuff works. You can ignore this and move on with your day.
tbh, I'd love to play L4D or L4D2 as a game night. Theres a way to make it have more than 4 players through mods but idk how to set that up.

i could abuse mod powers and actually make you say that :kyoko-smug:
Why would you need to speak the truth for them? :illya-smug:

Anyone dabble in Destiny 2? I've been hopping off and on it for the last few days and I'd like to try out some of the group content (since I haven't tried anything since the most recent expansion came out). And I'd love a reason to reinstall L4D2.

Voted for GMOD but I have KF2 and would love to play that too. Grabbed SWAT from the link that got posted earlier as well.

ohkay since the votes are tied and we're not gonna get anywhere just talking how about this how about
March 20th (this Saturday?) at sometime between 7pm UTC and 9pm UTC we get together in the shoutbox on pleroma, or maybe make a one off discord or something idk, and depending on how many people show up we can decide what to play.
or yknow could just post in the thread. that day.

Anyways if we have enough people (10+ sounds good?) we could do a TTT game and just find an empty or semi-empty server to join.
KF2 i think allows up to 6 people or something? so that'd be possible too, and I think it has an ingame voice chat?
SWAT4 would be perfect with like 4 people, but more is always welcome if thats what we decide on.
and hey if we end up with a perfect 5 people we can always throw a few games in CSGO.

Make sure to spread the poster.

That poster gives me early 2000s flashbacks. Too bad I don't have any of the mentioned games :konata_cry:

ah yes L4D2. The game that gave me many mental breakdowns. Isn't there like a 4v4 mode in it?
Yep, there's a 4v4 versus mode, though you don't need the full 8 people.

I also support Halo, either multiplayer or campaign. We can hop into Legendary and suffer together

I hope there is notice on wich game we're going to play because I don't own any of these games and I would need to put money in my bank account to buy KF2

Edit: Nevermind I have enough

I'd say SS13 should be a good pick since it's free and we can unleash maximum retardation in it

This is unrelated to the game night, I may make a separate thread if there's interest:
Okay so since some people can't play all days of the week I had an idea come to me.
A few years back I hosted a CSGO tournament for a cash prize and had a bit of interest but now that there's a fairly active userbase here I was wondering if some of you would be interested in competing against each other.

A classic tournament, people go up against each other, or if its teambased you guys can form your teams and compete against each other.
Got the brackets to keep track of who's winning, all that jazz, but most importantly the question would be what game to play?

If you'd like to suggest a game make sure it meets the following criteria:
  1. Has some sort of system we can use to keep score/get a winner:
For example I got the idea for the tournament from playing Clone Hero. It has points that could be used for the tournament, 2 people play the same song on the same difficulty and whoever gets the most points moves on to the next round/match.
A game like Touhou would also make a good choice, but rather than points you could judge on who actually finishes the map/level (since touhou is known for being difficult). If both players finish you can also use the highest score to choose the winner.
Golf With Your Friends/Chess/CSGO/Any Racing Game/Mordhau(?) also work but they don't meet the second criteria, but are all potential games for a future game night

  2. The game is free or very cheap:
We want as many people to be able to participate as possible so having the game be free is a huge plus.

  3. (Optional But Useful) Has a built in competitive mode:
Of course players schedules won't always line up but having an actual competitive mode could make for an interesting game. I or someone else could stream the match on youtube/twitch and may get some interesting results. Not 100% necessary since we can just have people record their match for games like Touhou to prove they didn't photoshop the score screen or whatever.

Just a random idea I had while missing many many notes no bully pls :hibiki-scared:
If theres interest I can move this and start a thread to further discuss how we can do this, and what games we could play. If you've got ideas for rewards as well I'm open to it, but playing for fun should be your priority :korone-smug:

if thats the Criteria then we can get SRB2K Game-nights for those that dont know SRB2K is a Free Mariokart-like game (can get it here https://github.com/STJr/Kart-Public/releases) it has online, support mods (it has a ton of anime character and map mods), the online is server base (if i remember correctly) so we can have our own Varis server Tournies and above all AUTISTIC AND STUPID SHIT is sure to happen knowing how kart games are :hyper-ro:
