Wanna add a bit more info to this since I feel it is somewhat important to discussing Veibae's shitty attitude as it's one of the main things I hate about her.
Basically when Shylily was getting popular a lot of people thought she sounded like Vei with some people even thinking it was Vei on an alt account, it came to a head when someone mentioned her in a Vei stream and she went completely off the rails saying that Lily "Didn't used to sound like that" and that they should "Never settle for less."
Lily in turn got sent Vei's response and her response was essentially "I don't want to start any unnecessary drama over this I just want to entertain" which is a more than reasonable response imo and that was basically the end of it beyond a few minor shrieks from Vei's fanbase sometimes.
Vei never actually posted anything that proved Lily sounded different before becoming a vtuber, all she did was reveal that her ego is the size of a fucking planet and that she's an alpha bitch who hates anyone taking her limelight.
As for Lily? While I don't follow the western vtuber scene that much these days she seems to have stayed relatively drama free and hasn't said anything bad about any of the big vtuber companies, that alone makes her much more respectable than any of the harpies that leech off of them for clout.
TL;DR Vei is an egotistical bitch who hates anything that she considers competition and accuses anyone who sounds like her of being below her.
yea I keep an eye on Lily as her clips seem to make their way into my feed. she is relatively entertaining enough and has a solid following just minding her own shit and keeping out of unneeded drama bullshit. she seems to be doing raver well for herself these days

At this I question along with many other people is why hasnt hololive started mainly streaming on twitch to annihilate their competition. But as funny as this might sound the guy that hates Vtubers the most is actually a savior to the Vtuber community of Twitch the one and only XQC

Vshojo for some reason died when the Nux drama unfolded it would be good riddance if Hololive walked into twitch guns blazing but the above reasons state why they wouldnt while keeping a low profile on twitch and I would not want them to overshadow Vtubers that are enjoyable to watch whom dont have a big audience yet.

I don't know what the situation is outside of Europe and Japan, but obviously there is a difference in the type of audience between YouTube and twitch. the point is that YouTube is still the best platform for world class promotion, bearing in mind that many of the members of hololive are very good singers and artists and have very good piano and electric piano skills, and I don't think these members would move to They also have a lot of commercial collaborations (manga, anime, games, snacks and drinks etc) and I don't think it would be very effective to promote them on twitch. Watched all them stream like a few days to a week ago Nyanners maxed out at best 7k viewers solo(Not the BF debuff that gave her 4.8k viewers) Veibae last I saw maxed out at 5.5k viewers, silvervale 2.5k viewers, froot 1.3k viewers and Mel at 1k viewers, iron mouse 7.5k viewers. I think that its even safe for me to assume that Shxtou and Shylily are even bigger Vtubers than any Vshojo member without being backed by any organization AFAIK. Imagine Twitch being your platform and believing you can beat hololive using another streaming platorm most of the time while you cant handle two indies where one hit 10.5kviewers without any raids or debuts while the fujo panderer shxtou for his birthday got like 18k viewers. In case anyone wants to know mouse, nyanners and Vei were always guarantted 10k+ viewers whenever they were on twitch. EDIT: Filian to my surprise got 7.4k viewers and her main audience based on her content are zoomers.

Yeah, this would classify as copyright infringement, especially with Cover being a Japanese company. Japan's copyright laws are way worse than what the US has. We can only assume they paid to have Mori in the video, but they normally have to display that information somewhere in the video.
There is a good chance that Mori (just like always) didn't think things through and gave the ok herself without talking to cover first.
Or IM got Connor to ask her making it even stupider, but we will see if and how cover reacts.

The usual scenario is that Cover is not a spy organisation unable to keep tabs on it all the time just that they are negligent and the best case scenario is that there will be an announcement and action about it later (within a month). However I think the most likely scenario is that Mori herself agreed to all of it first, without informing anyone in advance or first, but actually given that Mori occasionally interacts with VSJ people on Twitter, I don't think it's surprising that there are any consequences that she needs to own up to (which shouldn't be too much of a problem).
