Is there any plans to uncensored that localization? I dropped the game due to the characters being so dull, but that would give me more of a reason to revisit it. Not sure how much of difference it would make, but it seemed so lifeless I stopped at Chapter 4: The Goddess's Rite of Rebirth. Didn’t even attempt the mission, Engage came out and now the thought of all that tedious busy work for censored zombies seems even more pointless.

Most Badass: Merin. I like her design specially the claws, the wolf class, the tomboy personality and also that she is carrying my playthrough so fucking hard with Tiki XD, the only thing i dislike is the fucking random tail...
Hottest: Rhea. So... i'm weak to big sister/mommy characters, sorry. (I would say Camilla but not until i play Fates because it would be unfair to Rhea)
Most Underrated: Celine. (This is more like "The Saddest" but whatever) I really liked how she has to be though in her ruling and the fear she has of becoming a cold person, it also made me sad when i saw her supports with her brother, her nightmares, and when i realized that her brother actually dies of his heart disease in the endings...
Wife material: Ivy. (This one was hard to choose XD) She has the "big sister body type" but also a soft/shy side that makes me want to protect her.
Most Hated: Lorenz. Shit design, shit personality, i let him die in my GD playthrough and never cared for him.

Like i said, i'm going to talk about what i found in this release.
So first of all, the new supports and wakeups with the MC, the censored parts were mainly in the S-supports.
Supports with MC:
Madeline especially, she got a heavy hit in general and her S-support is a complete mess, a lot of lines changed, words like "partner" changed to "knight", and changed the romantic tone pushing for the "serve as my right hand" lmao.
Zelestia had her last S-support line changed, they basically removed the "I love you from the bottom of my heart". What reason did they have to remove this???
Rafale also got his last S-support line changed, idk whether to call this character tsundere, edgy or just a jerk but his supports are something else... and the original last line is "勝手に我の傍を離れるな。お前も、お前の未来も……我のものだ。" which i translated as "Promise that you won't leave my side, and that you and your future belong...to me." and the localization went with "Swear that you will never leave my side─that we will explore what the future holds together", i guess they didn't liked how possessive it sounded...
To my surprise Nel supports were on point, really weird coming from the localization, knowing that she's MC's sister (if it's your sister from another dimension/world isn't incest? XD) and she literally says in her S-support that she loves you.
Gregory supports were also fine.
Wakeups:
A few S-Wakeups lines were censored, especially from Madeline and Zelestia.
And they ACTUALLY increased the romantic tone in the Nel S-wakeups, this confused my a lot and i needed a few minutes to understand wtf was going on, like she calls you "my love" out of nowhere and being more romantic in general, really weird coming from them.

But it just makes no sense, all the new DLC characters knew the other Alear, Nel and Rafal are also +1000 years old too and MC's siblings, they censored Madeline who is 16 and while the MC is "17", and from the base game you have things like the untouched romantic S-support with Lindon... they are just randomly censoring at this point.

If I remember Zelestia took care of Alear when a baby so its probably seen like a nanny.
Anyways just glad Zelestia gor her romance back.

Interesting, how did you handle this situation in context with the goal of the patch? I guess it brings up the question of whether the goal is to "decensor" only, in which case no change is needed, or if the goal is to "restore" to the original intent, in which case a toning-down is necessary.
Well right now only the lines that mostly deviated from the original ones are changed. I was hesitant, but will also change when she calls you "my love" to the original "Divine Dragon" for next release.
I also wanted to hear the DLC wakeups in JP just in case because that's how i discovered that Zelestia says "ara" instead of "oh" or "ah" in her supports, but no one uploaded them to YT in JP and idk who the fk designed the wakeup mechanic so it's only 1 wakeup per fight...

The patch focuses on supports (i know i ended up working on other areas but...) and the few changes made to chapters files were because i saw people posting comparisons, me just knowing that almost all of Goldmary's lines were censored or me checking all Pandreo's lines to completely remove the furry fanfiction from his character...

I just can't with the fucking emblem bond supports, i did Byleth file and 80% of them were so dull and pointless wtf, who thought that giving each emblem 3 "supports" with all characters would be a good idea?
And i call them "supports" but the C/B tiers are literally 2 lines and the A tier 4 lines, its impossible to make anything with that.
So, there are 38 emblem "support" files, 19 of them have 288 entries and the other 19 have 40 entries (the _ex files for Fell DLC characters) making a total of 6.232 entries (all voiced).
Like why waste all that development time and money on that and not make something that ppl would love like S-supports and paired endings between all characters maybe?
I also want to rant about the wakeups and don't get me wrong, i like them, specially the S-wakeups ASMR but you're only going to be able to see less than half of them in a playthrough because you can only see 1 per battle.
There are 210 wakeups (not counting the 70 S-wakeups nor the Fell DLC wakeups) so you would have to fight 210 times to see the C/B/A ones XD, i think a regular player wouldn't even be able to see them all in 2 playthroughs...

I like no paired endings. Barring some endings where the character marry a rando, I prefer MC only romance.
I am from the Persona school of romance where only the MC can romance the girls.
Doesnt sit well with me that girls consider MC a choice among many.
I'm a huge waifufag. FE is the only series I know where the waifus can date other people.
So I am fine with no paired units mechanics.
If Fates has one then Engage should. Its honestly how little harem is a fetish in FE. Not even GBA hacks have harem themes.
