It would be better to do one forum for discussions and another for evidence. Right now we are talking through the collected evidence, but it does give it more context than if we were to just leave it as an image.

while I agree that this thread isn't organized well, scattering evidence etc. throughout different posts would kinda make it harder to point outsiders to the things presented here somewhat.
this thread has kinda made it to the mainstream with people who don't know what Varis forums is constantly linking to it to show bad examples of localizers (it got linked on a big post on AL's subreddit yesterday for example) so I'm kinda conflicted on splitting stuff in the grand scheme of things.

In my opinion the OP should be rewritten around the idea of splitting into each localizers "sins" or whatever.

Basically use the OP as a big index where you get a summary of the translator and a link to the main thread for them, with the rest of the thread being for discussing new additions or something not important enough to have it's own thread

ex format:

Localizer Name (Nicknames/Online Aliases)

- Brief Summary on them (social media links or something)

- brief summary on the games they've worked on (Maybe organized as a list, with a link to their thread if they have one here)

<Few Screenshots (2-3) comparing their translation to the actual meaning>
<Link to their main thread>

and so on so forth in the OP.

I think it'd be easier for people to find localizer or specific games that way, plus I think you'd get far more exposure since the individual thread would appear when someone googles their name or the games they've worked on.

@Smugumin's post is a pretty good example of what I meant.

Assuming people agree to this idea, i can actually split that post off into it's own thread later on.
I think a subforum for Localizers within Censorship would be a good place to store all the localizer threads if people agree to it.
It'd take a bit of writing so hopefully someone has the will to make some new OPs. Maybe get some more attention from people to join and contribute more

Tldr:
Have the OP be updated regularly with some variation of the above format so people can link to that as a mega thread, which then takes to more specific examples and discussion on localizers in their own threads

A few on the pleroma suggested a wiki, which in the near future I could see as possible as well.
Basically having the articles take all the most important posts in a thread (info and what not) and making an article with it.
I think that'd be a decent idea, since it could act as a highly edited well formatted version of the forum threads, which'd be left as more of a discussion area to compile the information.

but again, that was a random idea tossed out, which I think may work once we have a decent amount of threads to actually create the wiki with.

yeah we need a few threads made first before I could update the OP then we work our way up from there. though that would depend on the others creating threads on the respective localizers they found first so I could start organizing the info.

I think we will get a lot more seething if regular and egregious offenders get their dedicated threads the ability to get it to show up high in a google search is a very nice bonus

Localization counter-propaganda thread- a curated and neatly organized thread to spread to normalfags
Shit localization jobs
Localization audits
Individual threads

Also
Start archiving immediately
Some people obviously are watching us and will spread an asset denial order to save face

what we lack right now are prober coronation and manpower

but I think if we can set up a decent enough framework we can encourage more people to contribute to it. we just have to make it as easy to understand as possible

the seas are shifting and I think if we pull this off THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN
