Katrina made a very odd choice for her translation on the show Horimiya she's working on.
Here's a side by side composition of the show she's translating. And compare that to both Manga from official and fan translations:
If you listen to the audio carefully. The character has never said the word "that cool dude" the translator put in, other than Onii-chan (Big Brother).
Yeah, I don't know what's her reasons behind this choice.
Is there any reason for her to be offended from the word the character is saying in Japanese dub "Die?" (shi-ne) (死ね).
At this point I'm 100% positive she's just making shit up.

So I was surfing through my timeline on tw and I saw a clip of a ENG female dub director who shared a very short clip (10 seconds I think) of an upcoming ENG version of an anime series. Looked like a romcom. The clip showed a scene in which a guy shouted something like: "I didn't diddle my little sister!". I felt the cringe but ignored that. The worst thing is that I don't remember what series it was (I think the title started with letter H like "Horimiya" series) and who was that woman. Did anyone stumble upon that clip on twitter?

Bringing the LNs to the west especially the yuri ones was a mistake

Horimiya is filled with shitty localizations (mostly adding western style of speaking,mannerisms Idk what to call it honestly) like the examples shown by hellhammer. Also about seven shits, I was talking about how the yuri LN censorship got steam and a swift response but not mushoku tensei or classroom of the elite. Its surely because muh alphabet soup and whatever tranny higher up erica friedman is, apparently seven shits are republishing mushoku tensei and which might fix the censorship (according to optimistic fans). As for myself, I'd rather pirate (or not read at all if not available) and support later by buying directly from Japan than pay westerners for my japanese anime/manga/LN.

Although considering Japan I doubt it'd happen, since they actually care about having characters and not just doing the most shallow pandering. Technically, I think there are at least two short LNs that could fit into "alphies" category, namely The Sex worker LN and the two-volume Sexiled series. I can post a review of a guy that I trust when it comes books and manga if you want.
