The Trans always try to co-opt these terms but have the weirdest worldview of it as a whole. They either have to be Male Or Female, no ambiguity, no Newhalf, no Gender Bending, and even when there is and it's obvious that it's ambiguous they always have to say it's Male or Female. So much for progressiveness of "Gender can be fluid" "LGBTQ+" etc. It's worthless if Trans do not like the fact Sexuality and Gender is on a spectrum and not one way or the other. He refered to himself as male child 男の子 as I took it from the screenshot, it's different from 男の娘 which are homonyms. Unless it's the japanese subtitles that are incorrect and it's just play on words and the JP subtiles being misleading. So I took the interpretation that he's refering to himself as a little boy. Unless there is something I'm missing here and he's refering to himself as a "daughter" and not child. or that the otokonoko term is a crossdessing boy who's feminine that emcompasses both terms? Is there a more normal way of calling yourself a boy/kid?
Tangental question but I wonder if his breasts are pads or not. and maybe some context into this dialog, what was he saying this in response to?

Regardless, I support artistic expression so I don't mind characters like this being here, I kind of like spice like this in fiction.

I'm posting it here, because I'm almost sure it's forced by localizers. Apparently Xenoblade X won't let you switch the voice language for about first 30 minutes. You're forced to listed the dub, create the character with dub voices and then listen to few cutscenes dubbed.
It doesn't work like in other games that had this kind of crappy solution.
First of all, the option menu is accessible when you're launching the game for the first time. You can switch any option EXCEPT the voice language.
Skipping the cutscenes, and setting original voice and starting anew game won't do the trick because the game is switching back to dub. So you're basically locked with dub no matter what you do and you'll never be able to heat original voice acting in the beginning of the game. It's ridiculous. There's zero technical reasons to do this. I'm really sure it was forced by localizers.

Trails fans are the worst. In all honesty they are up there with the Guilty Gear Strive Audience as those who will make excuses to any censorship because of the whole buyers remorse of "I did not play the real game it's censored" and are using the whole reasoning as to defend their own Ego or Franchise as to why it's worth keeping in these Localizations and Projecting their own Bad Faith Arguments and Group Movements themselves to protect the fact it's awful. I mean look, I can enjoy a game despite not the best translation being available.

Danganronpa comes to mind, even The Hundred Line, Xenoblade Chronicles X. But you will never ever see me defend the Translations and say "They brought LIFE to those characters" "Censorship was NEEDED" and Downvoting comments criticizing the issues with the Franchise and the Accuracy, Authenticity of the Translations themselves. Because by the end of the day that would not make me a fan of a Franchise, A Video Game or even apart of the Community. It would mean i am a Fake Fan, and a Trend Chaser who never plays the games, let alone cares about the Franchise itself. If I care about something, I am going to make sure no Censorship exists, no "Localization" stuff happens or Justify it as a whole and get it as close to 1:1 as possible. Anything less than that, is just those who should go play Chinese Gacha instead.

Currently playing it on an Emu thanks to the leak. I do believe this is because of the Update of 1.0.1 not working right now. It's in the Menu settings.

But I think this was until you reached NLA you can change the VA's which is easy. We need more information because if it's 1.0.1 that allows this and to give more options for the Character Creator then we are golden.

Xenoblade X translation is almost as bad as Xenoblade 2. They didn't fix anything it seems. It was like this in Wii U version too.

Yeah. A lot of these changes were also on the WiiU release. A side quest with the Thunder Cat Wrothians had you help a Wrothian pick a new life as a pattisiere and the humor whilst I found amusing at the time has aged poorly with what I know now.

This one is from RPGFan as a review confirming the Lunar Translation is the Working Designs one and is a Remake of the PS1 Version that also includes Lunar 2 within it as well. Working Designs was really one of the worst Translation Groups since 8-4 beat them after WD Bankruptcy. They altered a ton of writing, usually made up a lot of fanfiction, inserted Pop Culture references, Mentions of Celebrities, and overall making scripts sound like Cartoons than it just being the Authentic Japanese Translations. Even now people defend this awful translation as "funny 90's humor" than the Classic JRPG it should be remembered for.

Also if Working Designs does not sound familiar to anyone here, there is Vic who is extremely notorious for saying he is for Censorship if he deems it something that he dislikes as a whole or he thinks of it what it is. Which is the current Localizer Dilemma even today. Here is a screenshot or two that relates back to Working Designs Translation Philisophy on Localization.

So essentially they deserved their Bankruptcy because nobody was in the market for Awful Plagiarized Translations, and their comment about Idolm@ster was uncalled for, especially the excuse for censorship overall is because he does not like it, he hates it which is why he makes excuses despite WD going into Bankruptcy and everyone asking with whatever games WD did if there is a faithful retranslation available(notable being Class Of Heroes series which has happened thanks to PQube). The worst is that this guy is commonly the one that started the "You are not the target market" "Learn Japanese and Import the game" and called everyone else purists despite the fact that Censorship is the purity spiraling because it's just the lowering of standards. Sadly though Lunar remake is still effected. Hopefully someday a Translation group can just go through both of these games and get it done, people can pirate the game and put it on as a Mod and not give these people any money at all whatsoever. Besides Japan is not going to care at all, it's the Western Branches that will be affected not them.

I'm a massive Lunar fan and have the first, original US releases of both games. Which were not on the PS1 and the article author is a retard.

But FYI the Working Designs translations are already bastardized and they are not direct translations of the original Game Arts material. If you're able to play them in Japanese you will have a better experience. But if the English release was what you had as a kid, just play the originals. The Silver Star Story was worse than The Silver Star, and Eternal Blue Complete was worse than Eternal Blue
