I checked for this as well since on my phone it's somewhat annoying. Didn't find anything though.
Running this with a tool like greasemonkey when opening a threat should work though:
JavaScript:
let quoteEl = document.querySelectorAll(".js-selectToQuote")

for (let el of quoteEl) {
    el.classList.remove("js-selectToQuote")
}

weird, undeleted.
If my comments now will be deleted, how about just deleting my entire account? Seeing as this forum is less of a free speech forum then and more like a personal echo chamber like all those social media platforms. The comment about the so-called patch also relates to the fact there shouldn't be a patch to play uncensored games in the first place, and buying games that are censored just makes sure there will be even more in the future.

the comment wasn't related to the patch. maybe I misread the OPs intention in the thread description :shrug:
it seemed more fitting to the actual thread discussing the fire emblem mistranslation.

It was about the fact that the patch shouldn't exist in the first place. The idea that we should be grateful for a patch is ridiculous, if people keep buying these games because they can get a patch it will ensure in the long run more censorship will be pushed anyway.

I call that related to the patch, the only thing is that it falls under the same category. These companies make money on simp fans buying butchered games in general, and then stupid fans excusing why they bought a censored game in the first place because they couldn't be bothered to taking a stand.

I prefer to keep the patch thread clean for feedback or for letting me know of other censored parts in the game, for example in the Gamebanana's translation thread people is going berserk and its starting to get difficult for me to see patch feedback and stuff.

And if there is already another thread here focused in discussing those things even better.

okay cool that's what I assumed. I should've asked first but the description and post body made it seem like that was your aim.

Like I said, delete my account. If it's ok to just uselessly post positive things about the patch or just praise it but not call out the fact by using it and buying the game you'll support more censorship, it is just a bias forum.

no one is stopping you from saying that.
just say it in the right place :wat:, which is the thread dedicated to shittalking the localizers who did this. That's basic forum etiquette

he very clearly said he is open to feedback, I am not deleting negative comments about the patch, I deleted your offtopic comment.

Like I said, it is when I comment in that thread while people are ok uselessly posting about how great a patch is, but me calling out how it just supports more censorship because it will make sure people will keep buying censored game with the excuse of "at least there is a patch idea." I am commenting on the problem of the patch, it just doesn't suit certain people of hearing why such a patch is bad.

Wait, am I wrong in assuming most people using the patch aren't buying the game and are instead emulating? I thought the minority were people interested in getting things working on real hardware. Then again I grew up poor so maybe if I didn't I'd value collection more.

Bold of you to assume people are even buying the game. People either buy it third-hand/used, or flat out pirate it for emulation. There's some faggots who buy the game and support it even though they're supporting censorship by doing this, but I think it's fair to say most aren't tryna support that garbage practice.

I don't have to assume, seeing as I have seen many people buying the game and then pirating it at the same time to get the real experience while refusing to actual take a stand against the censorship in the first place. There is a delusion among fans that "if they don't buy, it might disappear" bullshit, like it's a bad thing.

People need to stop running their mouth when they are against censorship but still support a platform that does it or even a game, and then excuse it with either a patch or some other lame excuse they love using. If you want an example you can just look at fire emblem itself, the game censors like no other, but it still keeps getting new releases while being a niche franchise.

The only thing you're crying right now is the fact I'm calling people like that out for keeping supporting the thing you're, and they're crying about censoring. The same bullshit is with translation, we want accurate translation, but people will still buy the game as long as somebody else fixes something the publisher should have fixed in the first place. You could just look at the Samurai Maiden release which people so called refused to buy until community patches came out that fixed the censorship, and they still praise the few fixes in translation while another user already called out the game for being even more inaccurate than the handful of fixes.

People who buy this game first-hand are dumb. We don't need a novel to know this. They reap the shit they sow. If they want this on actual hardware, they should only be buying third-hand/used so the company doesn't get the money.

I wouldn't even buy it third hand or used. If people had standards, they would drop console gaming all together, seeing as that was the biggest pusher for censorship.
I personally dropped all console gaming the moment Sony started censoring, and I became more aware of how bad the translation started to become, while I am interested in some Nintendo classic titles I still refuse to buy a Switch even after their fake stance of no censorship for third parties because they still censored their own games.

When it comes to physical content like Manga, I just buy from Japan and just pirate the shit out of everything else. Every form of buying when it comes to games just invites more censorship.
I wonder how many people contacted any of these publishers to voice their disagreement? I did it for years, and it just gets ignored because barely anybody does it, while Bandai Namco gives the same generic response and Square even refuses to comment back. All these anime publisher care little for quality because moronic fans keep buying their games.

The only solution is learning Japanese and dropping everything released in the west.

Nice to see another person who actually contacts the publishers. I do too. Doesn't exactly do much, but still.
Personally I agree that it shouldn't be brought to begin with, but buying it third hand/used does better than buying it first hand since the company isn't getting money from it. Though the problem still arises with buying consoles. Unless those are being brought used too, which will eventually break, so you gotta keep buying used, which just leads to lower and lower quality.... Yeah, I'm fully aware of these problems. Pirating is usually the best option.
