I don't have to assume, seeing as I have seen many people buying the game and then pirating it at the same time to get the real experience while refusing to actual take a stand against the censorship in the first place. There is a delusion among fans that "if they don't buy, it might disappear" bullshit, like it's a bad thing.
People need to stop running their mouth when they are against censorship but still support a platform that does it or even a game, and then excuse it with either a patch or some other lame excuse they love using. If you want an example you can just look at fire emblem itself, the game censors like no other, but it still keeps getting new releases while being a niche franchise.
The only thing you're crying right now is the fact I'm calling people like that out for keeping supporting the thing you're, and they're crying about censoring. The same bullshit is with translation, we want accurate translation, but people will still buy the game as long as somebody else fixes something the publisher should have fixed in the first place. You could just look at the Samurai Maiden release which people so called refused to buy until community patches came out that fixed the censorship, and they still praise the few fixes in translation while another user already called out the game for being even more inaccurate than the handful of fixes.
