What Is the difficulty of arabic/english translation?
It is obviously more distant from english than european language but I would assume it is closer than an asian language like japanese

really difficult, actually.
language is very complex and has many religious elements that you have to somehow convery to another language naturally.
all words can mean many different things depending on the pronounciation. we can tell them apart by using small signs but those are mostly unavailable on computers which adds further to the difficulty unless you are a native who can tell them apart naturally.

it's not as far away as Chinese but I wouldn't say it's much closer either.
translating religious text is harder than asian languages tho, because it's basically like deciphering an old language.

can't speak on it as a native myself, but I can say that I have never seen a foreigner master our local dialect. (which has been seeing a large use in media as of late which includes translation work)

literal translation for example is typically classified as unreadable gibberish when that's absolutely NOT true.

Eh, it depends imo. As long as dialogue is written to sound natural and not like a machine translation, then I'm fine with it.

EN Priconne is the laziest and most brazenly disgusting localization job I have ever seen for a video game.
not only do they insert memes galore, contradict their translations, insert political shit, have typos everywhere, they even straight up crop shit to reduce their workload

the game is going down under HARD and in their desperation, they keep adding packs that aren't on JP to save themselves

There was a time when it pissed me the fuck off seeing wokeniggers flashing their fag flags and #CurrentThing hashtags in their names promote and brag about how they managed to worm their axe wounds into franchises, knowing that they will spread their cancer and completely ruin the source material.
Now, I've been so burnt out from seeing literally every franchise from my childhood that didn't end by 2015 turn to shit that I literally don't care anymore.

Now, everytime when something gets my attention, I start digging. As soon as I see any woke "undesirables" bragging about having access to the English/Global port, instantly I lose all interest and slam the thing onto the boycott list and either completely forget about it or go torrent the OG Japanese version. Having so little options has made me value and extra financially support non-pozzed stuff that I still like.

Looks like the final solution to the wokealization problem is and will also be for a long time, to just learn Japanese. As long as the wokeniggers have no influence on the production of the original JP version, this will work. And in the worst case scenario if the wokeniggers do have influence on the OG JPN version, all we can do is show our dissatisfaction to the JP company by smacking them on their wallet. Companies these days more or less only start pulling their head outta their ass when they are financially fucked.

Honestly that's the solution even if localization was done by people with the best intentions in mind. There are just some things that are untranslatable, so in order to get the best experience learning Japanese and reading the original text is your best option.

TBH I wouldn't mind if they were actual translators trying to translate the source material as accurate as possible. I know that expressions and words/terms with extra meanings exist in every language and are exclusive to that language and cannot be translated to another. In cases like these they can change words, expressions as long as those they chose in English are at least close to what the original were. But no... of course they have to fucking insert plebbit tier half a decade old normalfag memes that have been overspammed to all hell + I've seen examples where those wokefags purposely changed the OG script to push in their woke politics or even went out of their way to censor CG or whole chapters. I also fucking hate cases when you can clearly see if a character is a dude or a girl but for some reason the fucking retard who was in charge of the lolcowlization fucking refers to the character in 3rd person ("They/Them").

I've fallen into weeb culture in early 2010's and I personally can say, that up until 2018 everything went smooth when it came to the subs. The earliest woke fucking of Dubs I can recall was with Prison School in 2014. And then from mid 2019 foward I've started noticing more and more misstranslations, 4 year old dead memes that plebbit normalfags finally discovered and other woke autism.

Personally I havent played Nintendo stuff since GameBoyAdvance era so Nintendo getting dogshit doesn't really hurt me, but cannot say the same for a lot of other people.
Also if they ain't gonna properly do the job, then the only way I can imagine getting proper version of something is sailing the 7 seas and then also adding a fixing patch made by modders. Well, as long as we know that the thing was censored. If they already censored it in the development... then the only option is boycott. The silver lining is, that you will have more spare money to spend elsewhere.

That's one of the things that can't be translated. Japanese doesn't require pronouns like English does, so it is definitely possible to leave a character's gender ambiguous. There's really no way of translating that without giving them a set gender or using "they".

Despite all its other problems, didn't FE Fates leave Forrest as a male in the English version? Fire Emblem seems to have a good track record of keeping femboys in the localizations. Of course we won't know until the game comes out.
