Not a fan of Gacha, but I do recognize censorship as a problem. I do think this is an issue with monopolistic Storefronts as a whole. Apple and Android(aka Google Play) have a monopoly and I do wish America allowed everyone to download whatever Storefront suited their taste and just was able to purchase things. The irony is PC already went through this with the Windows Explorer Vs America case where The Federal Court basically told Microsoft they can not allow one Internet Browser or even OS to exist on PC's only and they basically were Antitrusted into Oblivion. So the PC Market is very open, you do not have Microsoft Store, Internet Explorer and Windows OS being the only thing you use on Windows PC's they were forced to open the market to Linux and other Browsers and Storefronts a long time ago. The one thing that does give me hope is that there is a growing recognition of Mobile Phones and the Storefronts being an OS and Store as a Monopoly and are walled gardens. They dictate terms, guidelines and policy, and make it impossible for everyone to have their own storefront to sell their own Apps, or even Sideload a Storefront or an OS to the end Consumer to keep their monopoly. PC's already allow this, they even have Launchers and it's not all Microsoft Store or Steam, but Phones have this issue and it's not updated in any Antitrust Laws to date. I wish Credit Card Companies were put alongside this as well because they work alongside these Storefronts to continue the Monopoly and preserve their hegemony for activistic reasons to "protect the brand", they fear Decentralized Banking, Payment Processers like STRIPE etc. Besides If the consumer has no choice in the marketplace and it's dictated to them by those who control the market, what choice do they really have? People should be pushing for a huge Antitrust Lawsuit in these cases in America because this case is easily winnable and the Supreme Court would even agree with this because everyone uses a Cell Phone and it is a locked market when the reality is it stifles choice and innovation.

So censorship is only ok when it applies to games you don't like, but it's bad when it effects games you like? I don't care if you like Gacha or not, but only applying censorship to things you don't like is a retarded take. You're either against it or for it, there really isn't a middle ground.
They are both things that should not exist, so I don't care if one kills the other. That leaves only one thing that should not exist to fight.

Let's be fair here. I think we need to start demanding 1:1 Parity the whole package, nothing changed, nothing altered, yes Fanservice is a bonus, but if we have the same content with Japan and South Korea and China there can be zero excuses for alterations, censorship through localizations or modes, or anything taken away and cut out. If we demand Fanservice then the general public is going to tell us to jerk off, we are "coomers", we should just demand the same great product everyone else gets and have it over here. We have accepted far worse to where we are paying more and getting less of a product as a whole. Especially when it comes to Manga, Anime, Video Games and anything from Japan coming to the West. Where everyone has to have pirate or pray for mods to save them. This will convince the general public to begin seeing it our way because then they will understand, it's not just fanservice, but paying for an inferior product that is not 1:1 how it is in Japan or in this case China. We need to gain ground everywhere than cede it.
I do see this as a great point. It also does not help when you have Mangalawyer being an apologist for China and South Korea because Japan DEI/ESG but censorship by the SK parliament and CCP is great for him. Something to keep in mind is he has done more damage to our movement in the sense that he only thinks about Fanservice, but not about Parity in terms of the Product from the East coming West. It makes us look bad. Having Outfits, Dialog, Modes etc it should be the same in Japan as it is here. We should not be getting an inferior product. But a 1:1 version with no changes. If it's anything less we need to call it out as paying for a lesser product that we are paying the same amount if not more for. Why do we pay 70$ but get a worse version of a Japanese product? Why are we paying for things without 1:1 Parity with Japan? Everywhere around the world does it. We need to begin arguing this, than just saying "Gacha will save us" because we are ceding ground and making ourselves look like a parody of someone who is accepting less and we are being backed into a corner with Gacha only. We need to demand 1:1 everywhere, Video Games, Anime, Gacha, Manga etc. No reason to pay for a product if it's not the same here as it is in Japan. Besides it should not be Gacha only we should try to extend it to everything.
The EU did do that. Hopefully they begin to go after Android And Apple to allow storefronts in their stores. I dislike when monopolies are like that.

It'll never happen but I'd love to see Apple forced to open up iMessage and Facetime to other clients and OS's.
We are already past the conversation of 1:1 parity with Japan, since Japan is censoring games at the source most of the time now. Also Japan is even more addicted to gacha than the west so they are the main problem.
