Ace Attorney is one of the most cursed series of all time, localizers will always butcher it and ruin it no matter what unless A.I translates it with some SEA/Japanese Editor in between this.
the reason why we'll never get a new game today is because there'd be some acab member somewhere getting mad that police isn't being demonized enough.
Edit: Actually I have to do some more confirmation on this. This is the Japanese dialog you see when you talk to her after the bus jacking, but the Japanese dialog before the bus jacking matches the English one (I missed talking to her before so this is the first line of hers I saw). I have to find an English playthrough where someone talks to her again later on to confirm if the three sizes line is present or not.

I honestly never really liked megaman battlenetwork that much now in retrospect because im kinda going off topic the game was fucking annoying with the random encounters as well as dogshit dialogue and shonen cliches like i know its from the 2000s but latley i'm too fucking cynical of shonen stuff for the dogshit comedy if you ask me and lot of it seems to be coming from these lolcowlizations.
I can kind of agree with this, game design has changed a lot over the years and some of it is just outdated when you think about it. I mean bringing back Megaman Legends would be great, but how would anyone in modern day Capcom do it justice? How would they even do Megaman Battle Network if they did try to do any of these games? Also the localizations are awful, it's just them rewriting things and making it worse. It's kind of why i tend to avoid certain older series due to how bad they were localized and try to look for fantl stuff if at all possible.
Everyone wants legends to comeback the most out of any megaman game now at this point.

Instant drop i had this on my wishlist. The localization team is really not interested in this game and is written by manchildren who are 40 years old. Until this is rewritten I will not buy it.

Why are lolcalizers so obsessed with these unfunny "childish" insults? I get they're terminally online and all but even a second grader wouldn't find this crap funny.

Because Anglos think they are cool and funny somehow quirky more original than what is presented in front of them, but they all write the same way in the sense they butcher the script and think it adds "flavour" as an excuse. It's no different than the long winded Shakespeare dialogue on Unicorn Overlord. It's funny how their own people hate it because they think it's intentionally long winded or it's meant to be edgy when the reality it's not even translated correctly in the first place. Any person that says the translation is better has sunk cost fallacy.
As for butchering, believe me this is always the start that you know the job is done, if they can not do justice to a game like this think about what else they will ruin. The best you can hope for is a fantl that is a patch that removes the butchered dialog and translates it as it should be.
