I actually have to agree. The gym leaders resemble typical Pokemon gym leaders for the most part and some even look good in my book. Yeah that JK censorship was known since the first trailer I think. Wouldn't be the first time a game has censored that term, Xenoblade 2 did that with the robot girl too.
it's the same as back in the day when the kagura games and the like would remove character ages or flat-change them. it's very common to get around places that have issues with underage characters. germany was one of the big ones some years ago
but I've never seen a case where they fucken replace it with bullshit Gen terms. ngl I honestly would have prefered them just yeet the dialogue entirely and then change it to whatever the fuck this cringe bullshit is

It's not even accurate. Gen Z can be as old as in their twenties or as young as in elementary school. JK refers to a specific 3 year period, and also a specific gender.

ill also add their argument "fewer people would know what JK means" is invalid as in the very context of the text the character fucken explains what it means to another character who does not know and therefore also explains it to the audience. so the pronoun cunt is retarded and clearly illiterate

It is terrible. Made by people who praised Fire Emblem Fate translation. A lot of examples are taken out of context, cherry picked, or straight up wrong, worse of that ignoring the fact that a lot of problematic part of Persona 5 localization, come from not terrible localization, but a wonky japanese itself. But lolcalizers wouldn't know that. Some of their "improved examples" are even worse in terms of quality then og localization.
EDIT: To drive point home, check their correction number 7. "Me, near Okay". They call it isn't English. Providing translations "For me to move , is that okay?" and "Okay if i get close?". Meanwhile, you open Japanese version of that line, and low and behold, it is literary "Near, okay?". Dropped Me in Japanese is common because topic is often dropped in Japanese. And not only it is correct localziation, it preserve the context for the character and for the scene. This character suppose to be awkward NEET, not a social butterfly who on what amount to her first love interaction with a person will spew out lines like "For me to move , is that okay?".
The quality of localziations like this, is the reason we are here in the first place.
