This is no longer Japanese but it's Filler dialog with Ye Olde British writing that tries to copy from Sword & The Stone and King Arthur which is just butchering it badly. I can tell this localizer does not like the script due to it being dry in their heads even though it makes logical sense and is trying to "add flavor" "punch it up" to add to it, but it just comes across as censorship and trying to justify paying themselves more money for doing a terrible job. This is going to bomb and it will be one of the main reasons why AI Translations will exist down the line. It might even be the vocal point.

This is what I am thinking especially for games like ReLink it would be great to have. A retranslation patch would be awesome.
So the localization company behind Unicorn Overlord's terrible translation has been revealed to be 8-4, a japanese Video Game localization company whose responsible for a lot of bad translations for japanese games in the past.

8-4 is bottom barrel tier, they did the same thing with Ace Attorney Chronicles. Now I know who to assume is behind games with superfluous writing and constantly defending themselves on 4ch /v/.
8-4 wishes they were gameworks as at least we had good cheesy comedy back then on the ps1.

Okay, I was also checking the Unicorn Overlord off SPA version and I see it corrects some things but also maintain mistakes from the ENG version:

So, we can say it's also butchered in other languages, but other things are not. Also removing smh like "Don't care about me, care about my mother" can have a significant impact to your main character, and not knowing this kind of stuff if you don't investigate more beyond playing the game (localized) and also learning japanese makes me feel significantly disappointed.

You don't mind me asking who did the fan translations on the left because there are a few grammatical mistakes.
The first line by Lola 「その方は、いずこに」should be "Where will I meet this gentleman."
and the second line where it says 「もうすぐそこに」should be "He should arrive there soon."

Also,Nier gets abused and buttfucked by an older man to help pay for his sister's treatment growing up. I don't think Papa Nier would be able to pull that part of the lore off.
Tell me more about this. I remember vaguely about the incident with Yoko Taro saying that the localization staff disagreed with him on making a younger version of Nier as originally intended becuase they were worried about "Pedophelia" even though the MC of the game is not that much older, so then they made Papa Nier to make it more of her Dad not the Brother for America and in Japan it was the younger brother, but i am sure there is more to this. Tell me if i have this correct or i am reading it wrong. Because i remember everyone saying how Nier was a really great game, and when Neir Automata came out i bought it day 1 and finished it within a few, bought Replicant on Steam but have not finished it yet.
I don't recommend the new version of Replicant, they really fucked up the characters, especially Kaine's face.
