However, given the nature of criminals, it's highly unlikely.
This person appears to be a young adult, and if I learned anything about criminal psychology, besides the fact that criminals are stupid in general, young adults like to brag about what they do and feel confident that they'll escape the consequences of their actions.

Furthermore, to make sure this image wasn't taken from some other person's social media, I did some reverse image searching.

This proves that this selfie is unique and original, and thus increases the chances that this is the culprit.

So I'm looking at this, I saw Shizu's twitter thread on it, and I saw all the responses screeching about how the age difference isn't an issue... but I didn't see anyone comprehend that POSTING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT OR SUGGESTIVE IMAGES OF SOMEONE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 IS ILLEGAL NO MATTER WHAT STATE THEY'RE IN.

The person who's taking and posting those images can be arrested for disturbing child porn, even if it's the child themselves. I know this because my cousin is currently on the sex offenders list because she was taking sexually suggestive photos of herself and sending them to people online, and that wasn't even on twitter.

All those stupid faggots going on and on about how it's a high school relationship or other such nonsense means literally nothing if the stupid child is sending images that are sexually suggestive. If that stupid child is willing to post images of themselves like that, there is probable cause to believe that more explicit photos are being sent by private messages which is still fucking illegal under federal law.

Just because they're not technically breaking one set of laws, doesn't mean they're not breaking a different set. You don't get to pick and choose what laws apply to you if you're in the US, both federal and state laws apply. Just because a state allows one thing doesn't mean it's accepted federally and the second you leave that state, you can now be arrested.
