I don't know, they should just eat the higher rating imo. Precisely because they keep complying with it is why we don't get stuff like pantyshots anymore and all girls instead just wear spats or there's a black void under skirts.
I don't believe the ratings have anything to do with that, it's just an excuse. They only had an effect on Smash Brothers because Nintendo stupidly wanted the lowest rating possible.
It's like that old excuse that NISA used to use that if they released Mugen Souls etc. uncensored they would get an AO rating.
Flew across Twitter today and had the misfortune of encountering this. Looks like Shiravune brought great shame upon themselves again by vandalizing the original script in the game Criminal Border with reddit pigdyke buzzwords. Seriously, if there are AI machine translations available, PLS just buy or pirate the OG Japanese version and use it with machine translation. Dont let those vile preddit wokeniggers get money from disrespecting weeb culture and the authors' source material.

I saw someone in the replies say the OG word was "loser", but if it was "virgin" just like @Brazio said it would fit with the trope. Seeing all those wokeniggers shove in reddit buzzwords like "incel" or, god help me, "chud" like they did in NUKIGE it makes me cringe so much I feel the need to go take a shit. As I am learning Japanese as well as being a weeb for almost a decade, I am noticing more and more cases where translations are inaccurate and I can point at it and say "a real Japanese person would NEVER talk that way".
While playing Xenoblade 1 I decided to check these lines because of the "you're a woman" thing in the last line but somehow the localization messed it up even more than I had imagined. It's really all over the place
"How weak..." -> "You feeble, worthless amateur!"
"I'm surprised you've made it this far with that level of skill" -> "Did you really think you could better ME?"
"Or did everyone just go easy on you because you're a woman?" -> "Or maybe everyone stopped going easy on you because you're a girl?"
Apart from the localization doing the usual "spicing up" and making the guy sound really full of himself, what the fuck happened in the last line there? I mean, I'm surprised they left the "going easy on you because you're a girl" thing in there, but "everyone stopped going easy" ? How does that make sense? Even when taking the previous (botched) line into account it makes no sense:
"Did you really think you could better ME? You probably thought that because everyone else went easy on you" is how it should be, right? He believes that, because everyone DID go easy on her, she thought she could beat him.
Am I misunderstanding something here or did the localizer really just do such a poor job that his English skills should be questioned as well?

The only way that would almost make sense is if he means they stopped going easy on her just now (implying they had been going easy on her before then) and that's why she lost, but if she lost to only him then that doesn't make sense either. Though the first two lines are completely wrong so it's still a bad translation overall.
